Re: usb bluetooth dongles
That's right. I bought one of those $7 - $15 dongles from MSY and it works perfect in Ubuntu. This is one i picked up from Big-W a while back it was about $17 but I got mine cheaper due to the windows driver CD was missing! Bus 001 Device 009: ID 1131:1004 Integrated System Solution Corp. Bluetooth Device So I'd be inclined to shop around and find something a little cheaper! I also have a second device that I got from Jaycar (this too was missing box/CD) and I got that for a steal at $5 I don't have my Eee near by so I cant recall the chip used but essentially both ones I have work fine (out of the box!) the only issue I had was that annoying broken bluetooth stack in Intrepid! -- Scott Evans sc...@vk7hse.hobby-site.org -- This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed. Re: usb bluetooth dongles
Thanks everyone, Looks like MSY are just down the road from me, so I'll pay them a visit later on. Nice to know there's good support for these devices too. Re: usb bluetooth dongles
Just for reference here's the device ID for the dongle on my Eee... Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode) Can't really call this one a dongle as its tiny! roughly the diameter of a 5 cent piece with the thickness of the USB plug! hence the reason it's on my Eee! ;) -- Scott Evans sc...@vk7hse.hobby-site.org -- This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
