[Bug 119184] HAL : macbook-backlight is broken for Macbook C2D

2007-06-07 Thread Movi
Public bug reported:

The fdi policy in HAL is wrong fo Macbook Core 2 Duo - which is
MacBook2,1. The fdi only matches against Macbook1,1

the line taken from /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/10-macbook-
backlight.fdi

for Core2Duo it should be
  .

I don't really have an understanding of XML, but the match key should
include both models. Anyways, changing this bit enables backlight
control for me (A Core2Duo Macbook).

Re: [Bug 112570] Re: Please backport boinc_5.8.17-1 from Gutsy

If you would look at the source code (or at [1]) you would see that the
changes between 5.8.16 and 5.8.17 are only Mac specific and hence 5.8.16 and
5.8.17 built for Linux are basically the same. This should not hinder the
backport process.

[Bug 118951] Re: [needs-packaging] mute

2007-06-07 Thread Frodon
Thanks Lionel, you rock.

Indeed it's more a package request than a backport request, sorry for
the mistake. Hope we will see this package one day in the ubuntu
repositories.

Thanks both for the answers.

[Bug 112511] Re: Backport Pidgin 2.0.0 Final to Fiesty

2007-06-07 Thread Michael Trausch
Is there a way that I can send my 2.0.1 sources that I built to Ubuntu
for integration/inspection? I could do that. The plugins, however, are
not even debianized, and the last time that I checked, they were not
available from Gutsy’s source repository, either.
