[Bug 293292] [NEW] Please backport etckeeper 0.18 (or newer)

2008-11-03 Thread Tony Yarusso
Public bug reported:

The author of bazaar support for etckeeper has said that using versions
lower than 0.15 may result in loss of file permissions information, and
recommends using newer versions if possible. Hardy currently only has
version 0.14, so would be susceptible to this possibility. Intrepid has
version 0.18, while the latest version is 0.21. A new Bazaar API was
implemented in version 0.20.

Note that this request is dependent on Bug #268602.

[Bug 260998] Re: Please backport Xen 3.3 from Intrepid

2008-11-03 Thread Boris Derzhavets
To get Solaris 10/08 and Intrepid Server HVM able obtain IP address via bridge
i had to use vif = ['bridge=eth0'] in profiles like :-
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/xen/vm# cat intrepid.hvm
kernel = “/usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader”
builder = ‘hvm’
memory = 1024
name = “IntrepidHVM”
vcpus = 1
vif = [ 'bridge=eth0' ]
disk = [ 'phy:/dev/sdb14,hda,w!','phy:/dev/loop0,hdc:cdrom,r' ]
device_model = ‘/usr/lib/xen/bin/qemu-dm’
vnc=1
boot=’c’
Turning virtual NIC into a paravirtualized mode instead of a fully virtualized.
When vif=['type=ioemu,bridge=eth0'] HVM fails to bring up virtual network
interface.
Solaris 10/08 does have PV drivers,but Ubuntu Intrepid Server worked with
vif=['type=ioemu,bridge=eth0'] at Xen 3.3 CentOS 5.2 Dom0

The result appears to be the same. HVM DomUs during install seems not to have
virtual network device
at all , it looks like front end network driver at DomU is broken. Solaris 10
10/08, Intrepid Server have been tested.PV DomUs behave absolutely normal
during install and runtime. Intrepid Server PV DomU , utilizing image device
created by mentioned HVM install and Solaris Nevada build 101 installed in DHCP
mode. Notice , that Intrepid Server PV DomU may be also loaded in DHCP mode (
vif=['bridge=eth0'] ) with no problems.

[Bug 293100] [NEW] Please backport vegastrike

2008-11-03 Thread Lorenzo J. Lucchini
Public bug reported:

The current version of the "vegastrike" package in Hardy is
0.4.3.debian-1ubuntu4.
Version 0.5~svn12126-2 is available in Intrepid.

The Intrepid package depends on some core library versions that aren't
available in Hardy; however, I was able to compile and run version 0.5
of the game successfully from upstream's source, with only the libraries
normally available in Hardy.
