[Bug 249661] Re: [needs-packaging] Aldrin - Modular Synthesiser based on Buzz
Hello, The code has moved to : http://www.bitbucket.org/paniq/aldrin/src/ Aldrin needs also the Armstrong library which is here : http://www.bitbucket.org/paniq/armstrong/ Tree MendUs, what did you mean by Not packaged ? Both Aldrin and Armstrong have official releases*. And there are some packages available for Ubuntu, although they are not included in the repositories. * The official releases are old. But the development versions (accessible with mercury) are VERY stable. I think some packages in Ubuntu are from CVS builds, so do you think it would be possible to include latest hg builds in Ubuntu (not saying you should do it, I'm ready to fly into this). -- [needs-packaging] Aldrin - Modular Synthesiser based on Buzz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/249661 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backports Testing Team, which is subscribed to Gutsy Backports. -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports

[Bug 309531] [NEW] Please backport wacom-tools 0.8.6 from Jaunty to Intrepid (replaces Intrepid's 0.8.4)
Public bug reported: The 0.8.6 linuxwacom are needed to fix a bug in the 0.8.4 drivers in the Intrepid repositories, where the input freeze for some users (most TabletPC users and a few Wacom tablet users). The patches would be hard to track (see Bryce Harrington's opinion in ubuntu-x, last two paragraphs at https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-x/2008-November/000253.html for the reasons an SRU wouldn't be accepted), and since the 0.8.4 drivers are still ok for Wacom tablet users, a backport looks like a good solution. At the moment, many users have to compile the drivers and install them by hand, and that encourages the idea that all Wacom users have to do so in Intrepid to get their tablet working - which can often be harmful for inexperienced users. The backported packages build without source modifications and work on my Intrepid amd64 install. Please test these packages and report if they work for you too (remember you still need wacom configuration in xorg.conf, which still has to be done manually.
