[Bug 298084] Re: Please backport KDENLive 0.7

2008-12-19 Thread Scott Kitterman
Backports requests shouldn't be against the Ubuntu package, just
backports. Watch Bug #269191 for when it's in Jaunty.

Re: Security Policy of backported software

2008-12-19 Thread John Dong
Strictly speaking, backports officially does not guarantee any period or type of
support, which is why they are worded as "unofficial updates" in software
sources manager. in reality, the backporters do address security issues in the
backports repo on a best-effort basis and take care not to backport things that
tend to lead to security maintenance issues.

Yes, I just reverted to the version provided by intrepid
(1:0.8.1.4-0ubuntu3) and the mouse wheel works normally with this

tommy, can you check if this behavior was not in the 0.8.4 packages that
are default in Ubuntu 8.10 repositories?

[Bug 78914] Re: dcraw could use a new version in dapper

2008-12-19 Thread Gerard
Canon 50D requires the new version "8.89", the one in Intrepid is 8.80
and it crashes with this error message with converting the 50D raw
images.

When I updated to the newer version 8.89 it works fine.

** Summary changed:
