[Bug 254468] Re: MASTER: momentary video garbage upon drawing new objects (particularly in KDE)
Kees Cook: I think you misread mosteo's comment. The garbage is the direct cause of the privacy loss. At this moment I cannot just lock my desktop and walk away because as soon as I turn my back the garbage may display a personal mail, plain text passwords, etc... -- MASTER: momentary video garbage upon drawing new objects (particularly in KDE) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254468 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backporters, which is the registrant for Intrepid Ibex Backports. -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports
[Bug 257211] Re: please backport rsync 3 from Intrepid to Hardy
I was actually thinking about this yesterday, wondering why it hadn't moved forward. I've continued using version 3 without any problems whatsoever, and that includes in mixed 2.6 and 3.0 environments. I will point out a couple of things. The work that Chris Coulson did was for version 3.0.3. Currently 3.0.4 is available in Jaunty and 3.0.5 was released Dec 28th and is in Debian Sid. Looking over the bugfixes for 3.0.5 I'd say it might be worth trying to get 3.0.5 into Jaunty and then backporting that into hardy (and possibly intrepid if people are interested). http://samba.anu.edu.au/ftp/rsync/src/rsync-3.0.5-NEWS For people looking to try the various versions: 3.0.3 can still be found here and can be installed with no other changes: https://launchpad.net/~chrisccoulson/+archive 3.0.4 can be found here but also requires installing backported lsb-base (available from the same archive): https://launchpad.net/~pgquiles/+archive It also looks like 3.0.5 work is beginning in that latter archive: https://launchpad.net/~pgquiles/+archive/+index?field.name_filter=rsync&field.status_filter=any -- please backport rsync 3 from Intrepid to Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257211 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backports Testing Team, which is subscribed to Hardy Backports. -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports
[Bug 321262] [NEW] Please backport unetbootin 304-1 from Jaunty to Intrepid and Hardy
Public bug reported: For Intrepid, this package builds against the standard main repository without any modifications; the only build dependencies are libqt4-dev (core, gui, and network modules) >= 4.2 and debhelper >= 7 For Hardy, it should also build without any modifications, however debhelper 7 will be required from the backports repository for building from source; however all runtime dependencies (libqt4-core, libqt4-gui, libqt4-network >= 4.2) are in main. Due to the package renaming of libqt4-gui and libqt4-core to libqtgui4 and libqtcore4 the dependencies may need to be renamed. PS I'm the upstream developer of the software so please let me know if you have any issues backporting it. ** Affects: hardy-backports Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: intrepid-backports Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: hardy-backports Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Please backport unetbootin 304-1 from Jaunty to Intrepid and Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321262 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backports Testing Team, which is subscribed to Hardy Backports. -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports
[Bug 321222] [NEW] Please backport pngtools 0.3-2 from Jaunty to Intrepid

[Bug 321200] [NEW] Please fix flash-plugin for Hardy-backports
Public bug reported: I added backports to my package manager and upgraded. All other packages for fine (pidgin, brasero, transmission) except for flash- plugin When I upgraded, I open firefox and go to flash website (youtube). Click on video, but get the 'you need flash prompt', then the install flash appears under toolbar, where you can choose adobe flash but it won't let you install it because it is already installed. Proceeded to remove flashplugin, remove backports repository, and re- install flashplugin. Now it works. Tried on 3 different computers, same problem. ** Affects: hardy-backports Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Please fix flash-plugin for Hardy-backports https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321200 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backports Testing Team, which is subscribed to Hardy Backports. -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports
[Bug 254468] Re: MASTER: momentary video garbage upon drawing new objects (particularly in KDE)
If there is a screen-locking privacy loss, a separate bug against gnome- screensaver should be opened. This bug is about the garbage-vs- performance in the X server and associated drivers.
[Bug 309531] Re: Please backport wacom-tools 0.8.6 from Jaunty to Intrepid (replaces Intrepid's 0.8.4)

I'll probably test 0.8.2.1 if they aren't to hard to compile. I'll probably try also the wacomtools from linuxwacom but on Intrepid.
