[Bug 734731] Re: Please backport irssi (0.8.15-2ubuntu1/main)

2011-05-03 Thread Scott Kitterman
I'd rather backport 0.8.15-1ubuntu1 from Maverick so there's a clean
upgrade path. It's either that or backport 0.8.15-2ubuntu1 to both
maverick and lucid. Which do you think would be better (and can you
test 0.8.15-1ubuntu1 in lucid or 0.8.15-2ubuntu1 in maverick as you
think best).

[Bug 772568] Re: Please backport Avogadro

2011-05-03 Thread Scott Kitterman
1.0.3 is not in Ubuntu yet. Once it is, then someone will need to test
the updated package in natty to make sure it builds, installs, and runs.

[Bug 772568] Re: Please backport Avogadro

2011-05-03 Thread James Budarz
I must be misunderstanding the process. I thought that the backports
would support newer versions of software already in the stable Ubuntu
repositories.

They are, but they need to be in the development release of Ubuntu so we have
somewhere to backport from. Avogadro 1.0.3 isn't there yet, but I expect it
will be soon.
