[Bug 800224] Re: Please backport packaging-dev 0.1
Erm, and I just realised you were maintaining it in Debian, not Ubuntu, so... Same argument, but make it work with versions of debhelper going back to 7.0.15 (lenny's version), and update it in sid, and I'll sync and backport it? ;) (Okay, so the lenny requirement is just nitpicking on my part, but may as well, right?) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backporters, which is the registrant for natty-backports. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/800224 Title: Please backport packaging-dev 0.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/lucid-backports/+bug/800224/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports

[Bug 807220] Re: wishlist: openjdk-7 package for natty backports
After some discussion on IRC, I think we've concluded that it's totally OK to backport openjdk-7, since all of the packages have separate names and can't conflict with old packages. But I agree with Matthias that it's a good idea to hold off on the backport until openjdk-7 is released, so let's re-examine this then. Once the final release is available in oneiric, the easiest way to accelerate the process is to test the backport yourself. Our requirements are fairly straightforward: we require that the package builds, installs, and starts on the release you're backporting it to. The easiest way to test this is with the backportpackage script from ubuntu-dev-tools. ** Changed in: openjdk-7 (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backporters, which is the registrant for natty-backports. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/807220 Title: wishlist: openjdk-7 package for natty backports To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/natty-backports/+bug/807220/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports

[Bug 800224] Re: Please backport packaging-dev 0.1
If it's intended to have this backported all the way to lucid, is there any reason the oneiric version requires debhelper 8? If you just relaxed that, we could do no-change backports, instead of special-casing lucid. I can't imagine you need any fancy new debhelper features to build a metapackage. :P -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backporters, which is the registrant for natty-backports. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/800224 Title: Please backport packaging-dev 0.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/lucid-backports/+bug/800224/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports
