[Bug 1005372] Re: Please backport conky 1.9.0-2 (universe) and conky-all 1.9.0-2 (multiverse) from quantal

2013-11-15 Thread HEXcube
i'm using conky-all 1.9.0.2 from your Vincent Cheng's Conky PPA() and it works
fine,even better
 than the one in Ubuntu repos conky-all 1.8. It's recommended to use conky 1.9
over 1.8 as the latter has some serious
 problems. Recently conky,conky-std and conky-cli versions 1.9.0.2 were
 backported to Ubuntu Precise repos. But conky-all was left out. Since Vincent
Cheng's request had no response for 2 months and conky-all is still the old
version in precise, i'm requesting a backport for conky-all 1.9 to Precise. I
hope conky-all 1.9 will make it into Precise repos before relese of Ubuntu
12.04.4

[Bug 1251694] [NEW] Please backport ipmitool 1.8.13-1 (universe) from trusty

2013-11-15 Thread Kent Baxley
Public bug reported:

Please backport ipmitool 1.8.13-1 (universe) from trusty to precise,
quantal, raring, saucy.

Reason for the backport:

This will provide users with a newer version of ipmitool currently only
available in trusty.

Some new features include the ability to advertise information about the
server via the BMC without any additional agents installed on the
server.

Example: http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/os-
applications/w/wiki/5010.set-os-information-in-idrac-via-ipmi.aspx

Testing:

Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the
checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:/ -s trusty -d precise ipmitool
$ backportpackage -u ppa:/ -s trusty -d quantal ipmitool
$ backportpackage -u ppa:/ -s trusty -d raring ipmitool
$ backportpackage -u ppa:/ -s trusty -d saucy ipmitool

* precise:

[x] ipmitool installs cleanly and runs
* quantal:
[x] Package builds without modification
[x] ipmitool installs cleanly and runs
* raring:
[x] Package builds without modification
[x] ipmitool installs cleanly and runs
* saucy:

Reverse dependencies:
=
The following reverse-dependencies need to be tested against the new version of
ipmitool. For reverse-build-dependencies (-Indep), please test that the package
still builds against the new ipmitool. For reverse-dependencies, please test
that the version of the package currently in the release still works with the
new ipmitool installed. Reverse- Recommends, Suggests, and Enhances don't need
to be tested, and are listed for completeness-sake.
