[Bug 1515693] [NEW] Please backport lxd 0.22-0ubuntu2 (main) from xenial

2015-11-12 Thread Stéphane Graber
Public bug reported:

Please backport lxd 0.22-0ubuntu2 (main) from xenial to trusty.

Reason for the backport:

Update to the current version from xenial and fix a security issue.

Testing:

Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the
checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:/ -s xenial -d trusty lxd

* trusty:
[x] Package builds without modification
[x] lxd-client-dbgsym installs cleanly and runs
[x] lxd-tools installs cleanly and runs
[x] lxd-client installs cleanly and runs
[x] lxd installs cleanly and runs
[x] lxd-dbgsym installs cleanly and runs
[x] lxd-tools-dbgsym installs cleanly and runs

No reverse dependencies

[Bug 1464996] Re: Please backport virtualbox 5.0.0-dfsg-1 (multiverse) from wily

2015-11-12 Thread Rich.T.
Martin (and possibly Micah),

Sorry to ask stupid questions, but I thought that you might have more of
an idea than me:

Is Oracle's latest version of VBOX working on ubuntu?
Is there any chance of backporting 5.0.10-dfsg-1 from Xenial to Wily?
How is testing going?
Is the GCC issue (mentioned above) related to graphics? ->

I've been having lots of problems with my AMD graphics over the last few
months and this is apparently due to the GCC update. Ubuntu have triaged
this several times and have ended up rolling back to GCC 4.9, Every
major kernel update makes my machine unbootable. This reminds me
chillingly of the old BSOD situations I suffered years ago no my windows
boxes every time I updated my video drivers.

Thanks,
Rich
