[Bug 1083664] Re: Backport Alsa from quantal for 12.04 LTS
Since we are recommending the backports kernel-3.5 that will come with 12.04.2 for this, there is no reason we need to backport the alsa kernel stack to the older precise kernel. ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backporters, which is subscribed to Precise Backports. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1083664 Title: Backport Alsa from quantal for 12.04 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/alsa-driver/+bug/1083664/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports

[Bug 1083664] Re: Need support for ALSA 1.0.25 on 12.04 LTS
Hi Kim, I went back and double checked and it looks like all of the tools and libraries are versioned 1.0.25 in precise, so I don't think we have an actual bug here. Since we're good on the linux driver support bug1077084, precise should "just work" out of the box with updates and the 12.04 kernel from precise-backports. http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/sound/ http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/sound/alsa-utils http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/sound/alsa-base I'm going to mark this Fixed Released, Please respond with any additional questions. ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released ** Changed in: precise-backports Status: New => Fix Released ** Changed in: alsa-driver Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backporters, which is subscribed to Precise Backports. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1083664 Title: Need support for ALSA 1.0.25 on 12.04 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/alsa-driver/+bug/1083664/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1019025 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1019025 As if this bug doesn't have enough procedural stuff on it, I added the precise-backports project to bug 1019025, and am planning on duping this bug to that one. In my opinion, it doesn't make sense to have two bugs that are essentially the same thing, especially when launchpad doesn't have any sort of dependency mechanism. [Bug 1076901] Re: Please backport ubuntu-online-tour 0.11-0ubuntu4 (universe) from raring to precise
Hi fourdollars and Micah, Would it be cleaner to just request that they SRU bug 1019025 for precise? That's more in line with what I've done in the past. If we can get 0.11-0ubuntu2 into precise and quantal updates I think we should try that route first. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backporters, which is subscribed to Precise Backports. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1076901 Title: Please backport ubuntu-online-tour 0.11-0ubuntu4 (universe) from raring to precise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1076901/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports
