[Bug 597422] Re: Please backport Xfce 4.6.2 for Ubuntu 10.04

2010-08-09 Thread Lionel Le Folgoc
In lucid we ship Xfce 4.6.1 + almost all patches from git in the
xfce-4.6 branch. So the only big improvements between our version and
4.6.2 are new/updated translations. That's why it hasn't been SRU'd, as
it's not really suitable for that. I'm not sure you'd want to backport
that either, but if you still want to, yeah, it should be feasible
easily without any breakage (it's currently the version in debian
squeeze/sid and maverick). I can provide a list of source packages if
needed.

It failed to build on amd64 (version issue for build-dependencies), but
I restarted a build, and this should be fixed soon.

Anyway, uploading all Xfce packages at once (instead of waiting for the
b-deps to be built) was wrong, really.

[Bug 72146] Re: request: flash-plugin-nonfree

2006-11-18 Thread Lionel Le Folgoc
Builds fine in an up-to-date edgy pbuilder, but does not install:

$ sudo dpkg -i flashplugin-nonfree_9.0.21.55.2ubuntu1~edgy0.1_i386.deb
(Reading database ... 141599 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace flashplugin-nonfree 7.0.68~ubuntu3 (using

dpkg: error processing flashplugin-nonfree (--install):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

It is strange, as 7.0.68~ubuntu3 prerm script executes "update-
flashplugin -u" command, which (theorically) removes this symlink.

[Bug 50477] Re: Please backport newer rhythmbox to dapper-backports

2006-11-15 Thread Lionel Le Folgoc
Just tried with 0.9.6-0ubuntu4 version in an up-to-date dapper-pbuilder:
 -> Considering  libnautilus-burn-dev (>= 2.15.3)
  Tried versions: 2.14.3-0ubuntu1 2.14.1-0ubuntu2
   -> Does not satisfy version, not trying
E: Could not satisfy build-dependency.

libnautilus-burn-dev is too old in dapper (and I am not sure it can be
backported without breaking gnome).

PLF repository is designed for packages that can't be distributed in official
ubuntu repositories (mostly for legal issues), not to maintain duplicates nor
packages which might break backwards compatibility (there are enough

  * New upstream release.
  * Removed redundant debian/conffiles, and debian/templates since debconf is
no longer used.
  * Include full GPL blurb in debian/copyright.
  * Start system service by default.
  * Parse out quoting in check_dbfile (we can't depend on the shell to do it).
  * Implemented check_conf and simplified init.
  * Pass -n to dh_installinit rather than removing #DEBHELPER#.
  * Standards-Version: 3.7.2.
  * Added an ugly check to kill 0.11 in the postinst, and purge debconf
answers if necessary.
  * Updated and shortened NEWS.Debian.

  [ Eric Wong ]
  * reenable libao and libmikmod support (disabled by default in upstream)

[Bug 63452] Re: Please backport brasero CD burning tool from Ubuntu Edgy

2006-10-27 Thread Lionel Le Folgoc
https://launchpad.net/+builds/+build/253589
Brasero backport failed to build, since it needs gnome-vfs-2.0 >= 2.14.2, and
only 2.14.1 is in dapper (2.14.2 is in dapper-updates).

Afaik, the author sets gnome-vfs-2.0 >= 2.14.2 because some freezes
could happen when adding to the project some files from a network (ftp)
directory using 2.14.1 version.

So it would need to patch configure scripts.
Is a backport still possible ?
