It seems like the tracker from feisty (0.5.4-4) builds and installs just
fine on Ubuntu 6.10.
Tracker works without severe bugs (nothing like the beagle indexer), and
the deskbar integration works. Nautilus is not integrated by just
installing tracker (but there is the separate tracker search app).
- Builds without modifications
- Does not upgrade any libraries that were on the system before, thus there is
no upgrade or library issue, this is a brand new package for Ubuntu 6.10.
