[Bug 1290521] Re: backport request for uGet from 14.04 Trusty to Saucy

2014-06-29 Thread Iain Lane
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports#Approving_a_Backport

Before a backport can be approved, the request must contain the
information outlined above. That is;

Either a statement that the package builds unmodified on the *older
release* or a statement that it does not together with a minimal diff which
causes it to build.
That the package installs correctly.
That the software in the package runs.
That any reverse-dependencies continue to function correctly after the new
package is installed.

Please be polite.

[Bug 1290521] Re: backport request for uGet from 14.04 Trusty to Saucy

2014-06-29 Thread Michael Tunnell
We have a PPA that builds and installs without issue. How am I suppose
to test the 14.04 version without it being backported first?

I am being polite...I am incredibly patient as well. I waited 3 months
before making a comment and only commented that I was shocked that there
wasn't a comment yet. If you think that is being impolite then you've
somehow avoided the cesspool of internet comments.
