[Bug 1449499] Re: Please backport rdesktop 1.8.3-1 (universe) from vivid

2015-06-28 Thread Micah Gersten
Thank you for requesting this backport and trying to keep trusty up to date.
I've uploaded test packages to my ppa (ppa:micahg/ppa) that can be used for
testing the backport, feel free to make your own packages to test if you like.
Please test this backport and reverse dependencies as listed in the Description
of this bug.

** Description changed:

  Please backport rdesktop 1.8.3-1 (universe) from vivid to trusty,
  utopic.

  Reason for the backport:

  Ubuntu 15.04 (vivid) provides rdekstop 1.8.3-1, while Ubuntu 14.04 (trusty)
provides 1.7.1-1ubuntu2.
  Rdesktop 1.8.3-1 inclues a lot new feature and fixes a lot kerberos isssues
(CredSSP autentication for examples) that are very usefull in a Windows 2012
environment.
  Due to the fact Ubuntu trusty is a LTS version, please update Rdesktop form
1.7.1-1 to 1.8.3-1

  Testing:

  Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the
checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

  You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
  $ backportpackage -u ppa:lp username/ppa name -s vivid -d trusty rdesktop
  $ backportpackage -u ppa:lp username/ppa name -s vivid -d utopic rdesktop

  * trusty:
- [ ] Package builds without modification
+ [X] Package builds without modification
  [ ] rdesktop installs cleanly and runs
  * utopic:
- [ ] Package builds without modification
+ [X] Package builds without modification
  [ ] rdesktop installs cleanly and runs

  Reverse dependencies:
  =
  The following reverse-dependencies need to be tested against the new version
of rdesktop. For reverse-build-dependencies (-Indep), please test that the
package still builds against the new rdesktop. For reverse-dependencies, please
test that the version of the package currently in the release still works with
the new rdesktop installed. Reverse- Recommends, Suggests, and Enhances don't
need to be tested, and are listed for completeness-sake.
