However, the audiere package was removed from Ubuntu during the 11.04
(Natty Narwhal) development cycle. This was a reaction to Debian also
removing the package, due to it not being developed by upstream. You can
see this on the package's history page:

I'm not entirely sure why there is still a bzr branch available with the
package's history.
