You don't need to update or anything. This is an known issue with the JVM on linux. You lose key stroke focus if you go to another window/application. I always had to right click inside the Netbeans window to get the focus back. This is irritating but it's a problem with the JVM, not with Netbeans. I had this problem with all the versions of Netbeans I used. Well, I never had this buggy situations ever. I had used Netbeans on Hardy, Intrepid, Jaunty Karmic. And the versions of Netbeans I have used so far on them are: Netbeans 6.0, 6.4, 6.5, 6.7, 6.8, 6.9 There had been some rare freeze issues but not the focus problem. I have rather suggested Saeed over IM to get rid of the latest one along with the Java engine and trying to install the one(netbeans usually is of older version at the repo of Ubuntu) present at Ubuntu repo. Which is likely to allow automatic update when a new version gets added to the general repository. Honestly, I don't miss it very much as I could not be a fan of it yet ;). People said it is good! So, I wanted to give some try! but I always faced the above issue! Interesting is that, including you, I got report from two macos users that it crashes on mac! but most linux users runs it without a problem! don't know why my luck is bad :P. [Ubuntu-BD] netbeans php problems
hello friends, how are you all? I'm facing some problems, while using netbeans-php. 1. after unminimized netbeans-php , key strokes stop working. but I can select using mouse pointer. just the key stroke not worked on editor. 2. after close netbeans-php, a part of netbeans graphics stays on the desktop screen. not remove properly, to remove this graphics I had to mouse over on those graphics. I'm using netbeans-php 6.9 version.
