Re: [ Ubuntu-BD ] Auto remarks or signature

2008-05-13 Thread Abdur Rahim Khandker
Dear Russell

Why can't we all agree that GNOME users have 100 good reasons for using it
because it suits their purpose and taste and KDE users have another 100
good reasons for using it because it suits their purpose and taste and shake
hands with each other?

Re: [ Ubuntu-BD ] Auto remarks or signature

2008-05-12 Thread Russell John
Sometimes you need to be loud when people aren't listening. 99.8% of
time, it works.

Distro related discussions and comparisons always end up in repetitive
flames wars, and it is always discouraged in major public mailing
lists and forums. The same is true in case of desktop environments.
For example, I'm a hardcore KDE user and I can give 100 reasons why
KDE is better than GNOME. GNOME users will come up with another 100
reasons why KDE isn't worth using. At the end of the day, this
doesn't help anyone in anyway except making two parties annoyed at
each other. One of my jobs as a moderator of this list is to make
sure that wars doesn't take place here. We all hate wars, don't we?

And that's my signature, not an auto remark. ;)

Regards,
Russell
