Fortis Works perfectly in Linux Firefox though and they just revamped their
site. Alas, it does not work in Opera and when I contacted them about this,
they said Opera-support is under developement.

I have the same feeling about this, although I find it a good way of doing this.
I also want the pictures from the responsible people on the BelgianTeam wiki

We have Dexia, ING and a few others, I think whatever the choice is, the Bank

My local independant bank switched from Centea to Recordbank
(http://www.recordbank.be) a year ago. Now I have an almost free
account with free access to all ING cash machines.
I don't know Keytrade but do they offer access to widely spread cash
machines without extra fees (or maybe that is not important) ?

P.S. better a "militant flemish management" than a "typical Walloon
management" for the sake of (y)our money... (just kidding)

I've had a Rabobank account for a few years now. It works with a
digipass and standard HTTPS, so no problem with Linux. The only thing is
that you don't get a plastic card. All movements of physical money have
to go through another account, then be transfered to or from your
Rabobank account.

I'm not sure about how to get two digipasses (and how expensive),
though. It seems possible to open a joint account for people not married
or not living together:

https://secure1.rabobank.be/exp/formul2/step1nl.jsp
https://secure1.rabobank.be/exp/formul2/controller.jsp?pageid=step1nl

I've also had a Centea account for a long while now (since I was 14
or so). But it's only a savings account, and those are usually free. I
don't know about a regular account. My main account is at ING, but I
really can't recommend them, as they have often been unfriendly towards
me and have made me pay the highest fees for my account even though
cheaper was possible.

Just my input...

I've got a (2 in fact) keytrade account, easy with linux, free of

[Ubuntu-be] your opinion please: Alexandre Laurent for bank account?

2007-03-19 Thread Mark Van den Borre
Hi all,

We want your opinion as a community member on the opening of an
ubuntu-be.org bank account. Cedric Janssens and I had the community's
agreement to open one, but then came Cedric's illness.

Alexandre Laurent is now the candidate to be a joint account holder.
He's from fr_be, bilingual fr & nl, smart and humble. Those that were
at the january meeting or at FOSDEM will remember him as a valuable
ubuntu-be.org team member. Yesterday's online meeting showed broad
support from all attendees. Cedric Janssens too supports Alexandre
too.

I want any decision on money to be as public and as broadly supported
as possible. So please, especially if you have any objection: LET YOUR
VOICE BE HEARD. In the absence of objections, Alexandre and I will be
opening the account in less than two weeks.

Sincerely,
