Dyndns bought out editdns. People with paid lifetime memberships were promised the equivalent service but got something quite different instead and had to pay a migration fee. A lot of lies were told at the time regarding the situation. They also bought everydns which is the point I switched to dns.he.net (which is excellent and I recommend it). I was an everydns donator. Again, the account offered to previous users was fairly limited to make people upgrade to their premium service. They also removed threads on the editdns forum during the migration period that were in any way critical of the move, or when people wrote about problems people were having. Due to the volume of complaints being posted they eventually deleted the forum (saying that people should now use their community forum, but it was very conveniently timed) Dyndns are also imho overly expensive (compared to other services with lots of limits to force you onto more expensive packages), and talk about DNS like it something magical that only they can do (Their marketing is very annoying). I just installed Ubuntu 12.1 and I have been able to change settings and set up my printer from the network, but I can not figure out how to read the icons on the desktop I am still trying to figure out how to navigate with orca, I have only had this installed for a few days. I already know how to configer the Xfce menu this way. Main menu is the app named Alacarte. The funny thing is, that Alacart does show the correct icons and the wanted order of the apps, but what you see for Alacarte, aka main menu, isn't what you get for the menu, at least not all the times. ALACARTE rarely works for me. According to it, I have a normal XFCE menu. When I open main menu, I actually see something closer to ubuntustudio default menus... So I don't even use it. I have mapped the [win] key on my laptop to xfrun4 and just launch everything that way... Independente de ser dongle ou TV OnLine o que desejo é receber os canais de TV livres (ou por assinaturas) das principais emissoras do Brasil (Globo, Band, SBT, etc...e as de esportes). что предпочесть LVM? Btrfs ? Zfs?
Сделал, я большой btrfs раздел для виртуалок и прочего барахла и тут понял, что хочу ставить разные параметры для разных данных (сжатие,снимки, дедупликация и т.д.), а заодно я хочу гибко менять размер раздела если потребуется. Увеличивать или уменьшать... Раньше такое решалось через LVM. но смутно помню, что мне он чем то не понравился... (при том что размер vl можно менять, но самой фс на этом нельзя?) Is there any update on this bug? I have done some testing, and it seems that I can successfuly use SSL/TLS connections to an LDAP server (both over port 636 for LDAPS and port 389 with STARTTLS) when I use the DIGEST-MD5 SASL mechanism. This seems to indicate that it is specifically a problem with libsasl2 -modules-gssapi-mit - I'm currently using version 2.1.25.dfsg1-3ubuntu0.1 in Ubuntu 12.04LTS. This issue is causing us a lot of problems, if anyone knows of a workaround or better yet, a fix, please let me know. +1 on the bug list. I have a Lenovo G770 with BCM4313. With the new 6.x driver I can't connect to WPA2 (open networks work fine). I'm unable to ssh to my machine because it's desktop computer and when I use it I do not have physical access to any other machine (I will be able to verify it next week, though). But... This is the same issue: screen+keyboard freezes, yet e.g. skype works so if I'm connected and speak with someone, I still hear him, can speak, etc Just keyboard+screen is hung. RISOLTO: Il problema mi era nato quando un giorno ho installato un salvaschermo Open GL. All'inizio non capivo che fosse questa la causa perchè insieme avevo fatto altre piccole modifiche al pc. Cosa c'è di strano ad installare un Salvaschermo Open GL? Dovete fare attenzione a che tipo di scheda video avete. Il mio è un pc datato,con lui anche la scheda incriminata, quindi di conseguenza non supporta questa configurazione. SOLUZIONE ? Semplicemente ho disinstallato il Salvaschermo colpevole. That Apport retracing service needs to accept higher installed version (coming from a ppa, here gnome3-team) . It clearly does not care about the added tag third-party-package; tag automatically added by itself. Seems to be jabref32.xpm still. To be honnest, I believe that this bug also concerns the way Unity renders icons. This all comes to the observation that, in Gnome-Shell, this icon looks the right size, although a bit on the blurry side probably because of the re-scaling involved. Same thing happens with numerous other apps, like unetbootin for instance. So, I am not sure patching the original debian package to use a bigger icon will really solve the root of the problem though. At best, this specific icon will look bigger on Unity and less blurry in Gnome-Shell. I absolutely agree with Higgs Bison. Blacklists should never be in binaries. Besides that, patching the binary, Eclipse works absolutely fine with menuproxy for me. FWIW, I had also seen this behaviour on 12.10 on my Asus F201E, but not as often (usually after a day or two it would stop suspending). I upgraded to 13.04 and so far it's happened every time (only just rebooted into 13.04), as Alex described. [Bug 1159083] [NEW] gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV on default web browser change to Web Browser
Public bug reported: System settings Details Default applications Web set default browser to Web Browser. I'm not sure, but I think web-browser is sensible-browser, which is the default browser. So by setting the default browser to Web Browser, I was setting the default browser to itself which apparently caused a problem. If this is the case, Web Browser should not appear in the list. I have xubuntu-desktop installed (but wasn't using it when I experienced the bug), if that's the kind of thing that would make the Web Browser entry appear in the list. Public bug reported: If you create a new Desktop/*.desktop file with a different icon for gnome-terminal, then the icon from gnome-terminal in the launcher will also change to use this icon. You can test this by adding a file ~/Desktop/test.desktop with: [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Type=Application Terminal=false Exec=gnome-terminal -x sudo /usr/sbin/test_script Name=Test Comment=Test Icon=un-reboot GenericName[en_CA]=Test You will notice the icon in the launcher for the normal terminal change to use the 'un-reboot' icon named in the desktop file.
