Well, because the process is semi automatic you can't exactly tell when
the package will hit Ubuntu and with the import freeze a month away,
which isn't really much time to fix bugs which one may hit while
syncing...

[Bug 553927] [NEW] Update ttf-essays1743 to 1.203

2010-04-02 Thread Łukasz Jernaś
Public bug reported:

Short changelog from authors webpage:
Update, 20 Mar 2010: released version 1.203, which adds the rest of Unicode's
112 arrows.
Update, 17 Mar 2010: released version 1.202, which adds a few arrows, for use
in Mark Pilgrim's Dive Into HTML5. (He uses Essays1743 for some marginal notes,
along with arrows pointing at the text he's illustrating. Before, he was using
Essays1743 text with Arial Unicode arrows. The contrast was inelegant, and I
offered to help. Next I'm probably going to add more arrows, just because.)
Update, 4 Mar 2010: released version 1.100, which fixes some technical problems
detected by fontforge. If the capital O previously looked like a solid circle
on your Mac, this should fix it. Then, 7 Mar 2010: released version 1.2, which
adds some characters suggested by fc-query, to round out some scripts.

[Bug 428823] Re: Windows XP wrongly detected as Win 2000

2009-09-13 Thread Łukasz Jernaś
Oh, I didn't find that win7 bug at first, sorry
As for the w2k. Hmm, it seems I really had a w2k partition lying around
[boot loader]
timeout=0
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT=Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
/fastdetect

It isn't working though, but it wasn't suppossed to.

So only the xp chainloaded from win7 isn't found...

Changing OSS is not a hack; it's using something completely else.

Well, I meant deleting the .pulse directory and cookie...

[Bug 177805] Re: Scribus does not work with accented characters when writing into a text box

2008-09-07 Thread Łukasz Jernaś
Sorry, somehow I've lost track of it. AFAIK this is a general issue with
Qt 3.x apps in *buntu. See http://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=1908

The following debdiff should do the trick, although I'm still getting
the pbuilder env up and running. If it works I'll subscribe ubuntu-main-
sponsors to this bug.

[Bug 261615] Re: The scribus.desktop file does not specify a category.

2008-09-07 Thread Łukasz Jernaś
Argh, sorry. I'll wait till Duncan fixes it by himself then, although in a few
weeks we'll have the beta freeze, so it can be harder to get this sorted out.
BTW there's a better fix for that issue IMHO, because Scribus is already
shipping a .desktop file by itself, but the install procedure is messed up a
bit (some KDE related hack). Just see the vnd.scribus.desktop file.

2008-07-03 Thread Łukasz Jernaś
I'll look into packaging it, but still I would be in favour of removing
it altogether - IMHO users shouldn't rely on unstable releases, even
though the Scribus crew manages to get even experimental releases pretty
usable.
