[Bug 676828] Re: Contacts does not show up in empathy contact list

2011-10-14 Thread Achilleas.k
I have the same problem too.
Something I haven't seen mentioned is that my Google contacts see me as being
online and can initiate a chat.
They still do not appear in the contact list when a chat is started.

[Bug 751064] Re: package tex-common 2.06ubuntu0.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2011-04-06 Thread Achilleas.k
Same problem here with same version of Ubuntu and tex-common.
Solved it by removing tex-common (along with all dependant packages) and
reinstalling everything.

Don't know if it is a solution per se.

[Bug 323909] Re: xfce4-xfapplet-plugin uses nearly 100% of CPU

2009-03-31 Thread Achilleas.k
Exact same thing happened to me today. I had three instances of xfce4
-xfapplet-plugin visible in system monitor. Killing the two who used the
most CPU time did not affect any of the applets. CPU usage was near 100%
when they were running but dropped to normal after I killed the
processes.

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 (installed xubuntu desktop lately and running
xfce now) 64bit.

$ dpkg -l xfce4-panel
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Inst/Cfg-files/Unpacked/Failed-cfg/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)

I use Gnome applets for sensors-applet (2.2.1) and Weather Report
(2.24.1).

[Bug 270303] Re: firefox (intrepid): your browser has been updated and needs to be restarted

2009-03-06 Thread Achilleas.k
I got the same issue today with the latest update. Disabling the Ubuntu
Firefox Modifications addon resolved this.
