[Bug 1847212] Re: touchpad not working after upgrade to 5.0.0-31 kernel

2019-10-18 Thread Compinfer
Thank you for the fast solution.
Indeed, in 5.0.0-32 kernel the problem is solved, so in disco the bug is solved.

Unfortunately, in the released eoan the bug is still present (5.3.0-18).

No, this is different from #1846857.
In my case touchpad is missing completely.

I also tested under the mainline 5.4 kernel, and it doesn't work.

I think, it is similar to #1847151 , we both have MSI laptops with
Elantech touchpad.

[Bug 1836405] [NEW] too low write rate by gnome-disks' benchmark

2019-07-12 Thread Compinfer
Public bug reported:

The current version (UDisks 2.8.2, ubuntu 19.04) of gnome-disks shows
too low write speed for my new nvme m.2 ssd Samsung 970 pro.

It shows write rate 583,6 MB/s but it must be 2.7 GB/s
The read rate is OK (3.3 GB/s).

Results are in attached screenshot.

To make sure that this is not hardware/kernel issue, I used fio
benchmark:

fio --name TEST --eta-newline=5s --filename=fio-tempfile.dat --rw=write
--size=1500m --io_size=10g --blocksize=1024k --ioengine=libaio --fsync=1
--iodepth=32 --direct=1 --numjobs=1 --runtime=60 --group_reporting
<...>
WRITE: bw=2592MiB/s (2718MB/s), 2592MiB/s-2592MiB/s (2718MB/s-2718MB/s),
io=10.0GiB (10.7GB), run=3950-3950msec

I also compared with the results of the same utility from ubuntu 16.10,
and there the rates are fine (write 2.7 Gb/s, read 3.2 GB/s)

after about 20-30 min from a connection. I need to reconnect it manually
from Network Manager.

[Bug 1222758] Re: cannot build

2013-12-09 Thread Compinfer
I am running amd64 ubuntu 13.04 (apt-build version 0.12.44)

Rescently, I have met a message when trying to do sudo apt-get update:
W: Failed to fetch file
:/var/cache/apt-build/repository/dists/apt-build/main/binary-i386/Packages File
not found

Indeed, I have an apt-build repository, and I have previously build and
installed successfully firefox from there.
As I remember, I had to change somewhere i386 to amd64, before I managed to do
so (I don't remember exactly).

But now the problem appeared again

Adding deb [arch=amd64] to the sources list entry solved the problem.
But why is it not added by apt-build automatically ?
