[Bug 1837326] Re: platform eisa.0: EISA: Cannot allocate resource for mainboard
For reference: the kernel in RHEL8.4 does not have any of the `CONFIG_EISA_*` options; Fedora 36 does not set them (https://gitlab.com/cki-project/kernel-ark/-/blob/os- build/redhat/configs/ark/generic/CONFIG_EISA). In general `CONFIG_HAVE_EISA`/`CONFIG_EISA` and all related options should be set to No. There is no chance that somebody with a EISA motherbord (replaced by PCI in 1995) is running Ubuntu on that machine. [Bug 1851778] [NEW] Power-off button tries to close all open windows
Public bug reported: Since October or September 2019, whenever I press the poweroff button on my laptop, in addition to receiving the usual "Would you like to... Lock, Restart, Power off" dialog, all open applications ask me if I really want to close them. The attached photo shows an example of this behavior. It looks like the power off keystroke is not captured by Unity (or what other program is responsible for the showing the power off dialog) but also broadcast to all applications. [Bug 1788557] [NEW] USB3 port unavailable after suspend/resume (regression)
Public bug reported: The USB3 port of my Samsung Series 9 notebook (NP900X3D) does not work after a suspend/resume cycle. The other USB2 ports work fine. [Bug 1394465] [NEW] Google calendar password not accepted
Public bug reported: In November 2014, Google updated its authentication scheme for Google calendar to OAuth. The current `xul-ext-gdata-provider` (packaged as version 31.2 in Ubuntu 14.04) does not support OAuth. The upstream- upstream version 1.0.2 supports OAuth. To solve this problem the page `xul-ext-gdata-provider` should be updated to ship at least version 1.0.2. [Bug 1327159] [NEW] Some applications use the wrong audio output when using a USB headset
Public bug reported: I used the default sound properties display of Ubuntu 14.04 to set the default output from the internal loudspeaker included in my computer (a nice touch found on a Levono tower PC) to an USB headset. Couldn't dpkg-divert be used to make the current libGL.so selectable in a sane way until a more complete solution is found? For the records, this is still a problem in precise 12.04 LTS. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442574 Title: mesa doesn't work when fglrx is installed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/442574/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 442574] Re: mesa doesn't work when fglrx is installed
Here is a use case that I hope can change the status of this report from Opinion to New/Confirmed. The fglrx package is needed if one wants to use the AMD CodeXL tool, an OpenGL/OpenCL development tool from AMD. The CodeXL tool can work with offline devices, i.e. without having an AMD GPU in the computer from where it is run, but it requires the Catalyst/fglrx libraries to be installed anyway. Here is the problem: when CodeXL sees that the host is using an AMD libGL.so library, it disables its offline features and tries to use the available AMD GPU. But there are no available AMD GPUs, so it fails. To use CodeXL one has to 1. start on a system where fglrx is not installed 2. install fglrx (this install libGL.so and many other libraries) 3. use CodeXL (the fglrx's libGL.so is present but not loaded, so CodeXL does not know it is available and offline devices can be used) 4. remove fglrx If one reboots without removing the fglrx package, then its libGL will be loaded and CodeXL will stop to work. This problem would be solved if it were possible to install fglrx without activating its version of libGL.so.
[Bug 1213719] Re: [Samsung NP900X3D-A03IT] Powertop shows 100% Device Usage for audio codecs
I have a similar tunable setting and all the results I reported are with that setting set to Good (from the default Bad). That setting _should_ be on by default and _should_ resolve the 100% usage problem. This bug report is about the fact that setting it on does not resolve the issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1213719 Title: [Samsung NP900X3D-A03IT] Powertop shows 100% Device Usage for audio codecs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1213719/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
