[Bug 699802] Re: error:: no video mode activated

2011-06-27 Thread Mikhail Zabaluev
I was able to circumvent the error by pressing Ctrl-Alt-F1 and then
Ctrl-Alt-F7, which brought me to a graphical screen with the LUKS
password prompt.

Then, installation of Nvidia proprietary drivers seems to change the
boot sequence so that it falls back to usable text mode on my ThinkPad
T61p.

[Bug 751689] Re: Thinkpad x201* overheats due to slow fans when on 'auto'

2011-05-26 Thread Mikhail Zabaluev
On a T61p, after I set the fan level to full-speed and it is showing
(and sounding like) ~6300 rpm, still the CPU temperature cannot be kept
from growing beyond 95 ℃ when two processes are busy-looping. I am not
using thinkfan.

[Bug 751689] Re: Thinkpad x201* overheats due to slow fans when on 'auto'

2011-05-26 Thread Mikhail Zabaluev
To note, setting the fan level to 7 results in the screaming speed of ~3200
rpm. Something is fishy with these controls.
I have updated the BIOS to the latest version.

[Bug 438868] Re: Numerous applications have focus issues after emerging from a screensaver or suspend

2011-01-29 Thread Mikhail Zabaluev
I tried to file the bug for Compiz developers, but was not helped by
having to choose between three different Bugzilla hosts referred from
various places. Thankfully, one does not work, bringing it town to two.
The database at bugs.compiz.org has a total of 15 bugs at the moment,
and the first of the reports is hardly 2 months old. I guess this is the
new official one; I'll resubmit my bug there as well.

[Bug 530536] Re: telepathy-sofia has serious memory leak

2010-03-24 Thread Mikhail Zabaluev
I have never seen this, but I primarily use telepathy-sofiasip on Maemo,
with a different snapshot of sofia-sip.

Can you try to build sofia-sip from its darcs master repository at
http://sofia-sip.org/repos/sofia-sip
and see if this leak is reproduced?

[Bug 385102] Re: Desktop is exposed from under screen lock after an Update Manager popup

This does not seem to be reproducible any more, after some Jaunty
updates.

I was too quick to pronounce that, the bug is still there.
