[Bug 768473] [NEW] compiz 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu9.2 (maverick) breaks click-to-raise

2011-04-21 Thread Paul Swartz
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

compiz 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu9.2 (maverick) now has a broken click-to-raise for
me. Clicking on Google Chrome (with or without the system titlebars) no
longer raises it above other windows. Downgrading to 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu9.1
resolves the issue, so the patch causes a regression for me.

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 123627] Can't connect to WPA network with ipw3945 driver

2007-07-02 Thread Paul Swartz
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: wpasupplicant

Both when connecting through network-manager and directly through
wpa_supplicant, I can't access a WPA/WPA2 network. It seems to
authenticate, but I can't get an IP address. Windows connects just
fine. I'm running an updated Feisty.

[Bug 97311] Re: [apport] compiz.real crashed with SIGSEGV in showdesktopInitDisplay()

Same problem. Enabling any of the extra plugins (at least showdesktop,
trailfocus, or snow) causes compiz to immediately crash. Disabling that
plugin allows compiz to function.

2007-03-27 Thread Paul Swartz
I have the same problem. I tried enabling the cube effect through the
Desktop Effects capplet, and now compiz segfaults when it starts. It
functioned before without the cube effect enabled, but now it won't
started even with the cube disabled. I'm not getting a report from
apport, but here's what .xsession-errors says:

gtk-window-decorator: Could not acquire decoration manager selection on screen
0 display :1.0

/usr/bin/compiz.real: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing

[Bug 97270] Beagle-search opens Tomboy when it's on the panel

2007-03-27 Thread Paul Swartz
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: beagle

I have Tomboy as a panel applet, and Beagle set up to search Tomboy
notes. When I open a note from the Beagle search, it runs a new Tomboy
in the notification area to open the note. Ideally, the note would just
open from the panel applet, without having to run a new instance of
Tomboy. This is with an update Feisty.

[Bug 28925] Re: X fails to start in dapper, edgy with ati X600/X700/X800 (control not delegated to radeon driver, ati complains about Mach64).

2007-03-14 Thread Paul Swartz
I think I'm having a problem related to this bug. My ATI X1400 is not
detected correctly. X tries to use the the ati driver, but when it
starts something is not correct. The mouse appears as a diagonal line,
everything is stretched diagonally so far as to be unreadable. Changing
the driver to vesa allowed me to get into X and set up fglrx, which
works fine.
