This is fixed in the kernel 3.16 rc4 you linked. I have added the tag
kernel-fixed-upstream to this bug. Will it be ported to trusty?

[Bug 1282443] [NEW] Font patch for OpenJDK

2014-02-20 Thread Saurabh Rawat
Public bug reported:

Hi guys,

I came across a patched openJDK which makes java use native font styles.
I have been using this in ubuntu 12.04, 13.04 and 13.10 and it works
absolutely fine. Is it possible to introduce this by default in ubuntu
14.04?

It would be a great feature for Java folks using Ubuntu.

I am using this ppa : https://launchpad.net/~no1wantdthisname/+archive

[Bug 931261] [NEW] Too much power consumption in Unity 2D

2012-02-12 Thread Saurabh Rawat
Public bug reported:

Hi,

I am using Ubuntu 12.04. Compiz doesn't behave nicely with citrix
applications so I moved to Unity 2D. I am noticing that in ubuntu 3D I
had 4 hours of battery backup left and in Unity 2D it dropped to 1 hr 20
min !!! I waited for the backup time to stabilize as I thought it was
due to too much disk and processor activity just after login. But its
stable at this time. I clicked on battery and it was showing 26
something watts power consumption. The only difference between the two
sessions I had was Unity 2D session instead of 3D session. I am not able
to attach a screenshot as after I selected processor wakeups tab it went
blank, I will try to attach it later. Please look into this matter as
Unity 2D session is a must for any kind of citrix functionality.

Thanks.

2012-02-12 Thread Saurabh Rawat
Looks like its not just Unity 2D but 3D as well. Although in Unity 3D it
does fall to sane amounts for some time before going insane again. I
think a recent update has caused it. But I am clueless as to what I
should be looking for. If you want additional info, tell me what I
should report.

[Bug 581447] Re: ubuntu-bug does not use proxy authentification settings

2012-02-09 Thread Saurabh Rawat
I am using Ubuntu 12.04. This is definitely a bug with apport. If you
are providing proxy configuration url in system settings Network, its
not taking those settings. It only works when you set a single
server:port proxy and apply it system wide. PAC settings should also
work.

2011-10-03 Thread Saurabh Rawat
I am facing the same problem as Alan. Although nautilus as root doesn't
crash.
