Same problem here, Skype and jaunty 32bit.
During a call the CPU starts rising up to 100% and stays there until I
stop the conversation.
In addition the sound disappears after a while, I can't hear anything
but the other person in the call can hear me.
I configured soundin and ringing to pulse and soundout to plughw.
I installed skype from the medibuntu repository.
If i kill pulseaudio during a conversation the cpu come back to a normal
value, but obviously the sound disappears.
