IIRC, xterm is needed for ALSA mixer and uxterm is part of xterm or lxterminal. I've asked if they can be hidden in Raring as they are not normally used directly . That's a bit nasty. At least it's recoverable as they go to the bin. If you select a file or two, then press delete only the files are deleted, even if you select all the files in the folder and pcmanfm remains open. Which is what one would expect. As for blacklisting, I never tried it myself untill now and it really doesn't seem to work with video drivers. although a friend seems to have managed with a different OS. Discovered which package it is - friendly-recovery 0.2.25 Tried this on four different machines. If I select Drop to root and run 'service network-manager start' I get the following error message: Could not get the system bus. Make sure the message bus daemon is running! Message: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory. /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket does exist and dbus is not running. This was all done before I reported the bug. This machine also has Lubuntu 11.10, Ubuntu Precise, CrunchBang and Fedora 16 LXDE on it, non of which show the fault. I've also run the beta1 live CD just to see if any of my customisations could cause it and the problem still appears. According to sensors there is no over heating problems and the CPU fan is increasing speed as the CPU temp starts to rise. It would appear that USB-creator actually scans your /home folder for ISO files but, due to the rather small window it looks like there is only one ISO listed. If the app is enlarged, to full screen, it becomes clear there is more than one ISO listed and the scroll bar becomes more obvious.
