[Bug 1989976]
> The private part of the passkey should never leave the device it was created on, so by design, it should not sync anywhere else. That's an interesting statement. Sounds plausible at first. But when that key is my entrance, how should I use my account from another device? Will I have to create a new account? If PassKeys are meant to be the primary authentication method, I'll still have to identify from the new device somehow. I don't understand how that should work without copying the key to other devices. Let alone non-technical people who are already overwhelmed by PassKeys. They'll probably not use it like that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1989976 Title: [upstream] wishlist: Passkeys should be supported To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/1989976/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1838636] Re: SecTmpDir operation has undocumented restrictions
I recently encountered this error and while I haven't managed to resolve it, I can shed a little more light on it and offer a simple workaround. Switching off ModSecurity is the work around. This obviously removes a layer of security so isn't an ideal solution. What I've ascertained is that the temp files are actually created and written to. All files are individually created and additionally a file named -request_body- which contains the entire post including the cumulative size of all uploaded files is also created. The error described above pertains to this larger file, which suggests to me that ModSecurity has a parameter which limits the size of file which can be read or transferred to another location on the drive. If anyone knows what this parameter may be, post it here so that others who come across this rare but very real error, may have a potential solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1838636 Title: SecTmpDir operation has undocumented restrictions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/modsecurity-apache/+bug/1838636/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

So I wrote a patch for 4.14. [1] I have not tested it, as I don't know how to start my xfce4-session. startxfce4 should maybe have some configuration options to point it to another xfce4-session. No Audio On Pine64 and Media Server
Hi, I downloaded the image: xubuntu-xenial-mate-20170306-longsleep-sopine-8GB.img and put it on a micro SD card and booted up, and I get no audio. I can SSH into it when it is plugged into the router. It has a headphone jack that I plugged a small powered speaker into, which usually works for this, and I also plugged in an HDMI to VGA adapter which has an audio jack on it, and sound comes out of neither place. I have tried using: espeak "hello" and speaker-test -c 2 and the speaker test runs fine, but sound comes out of neither place, and when running eSpeak it gives some error about jack server cannot be located. I looked in /etc and there is no .conf file for alsa. But I ran apt install alsa-mixer and it told me that the one installed is the latest package. So since I don't really care if I can use it as such, I just want to be able to transmit audio through my router for listening with other devices on my home network. Which is easier in the CLI to set up for this? I'm thinking of CODI and VLC. Thanks. [Bug 1812359] Re: Login screen not appearing in bionic [Intel Atom D425]
Daniel van Vugt, Before reporting this bug, I'd already done fresh installation of bionic-desktop-amd64.iso : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1812359/comments/3 as stated here. All other steps lightdm, nomodeset, xorg.conf file I've done to solve the issue, so now, undo all changes, uninstall lightdm, remove nomodeset and xorg.conf file, changed #WaylandEnable=false to WaylandEnable=false Login screen did not appear so reboot and start in recovery mode.
