[Bug 305544] Re: 8.10 non-lan wired network speed slow
Sean, Alex, I had all of these symptoms, too, but am convinced that -- at least in my case -- it's not actually a bug (or if it is, the workaround is trivial). I eventually noticed that it was just apt that was extremely slow; I switched to a new apt mirror and everything was great. It may be that your problem is different, but I'd urge you to switch mirrors and see if that solves the problem. That said, I'm not sure why the default mirror was so catastrophically slow in the first place, and that also seems like an issue worth fixing.
