[Bug 654969] [NEW] favorites lost on upgrade to maverick

2010-10-04 Thread sciencewhiz
Public bug reported:

After upgrading from UNR 10.04 to 10.10, some of the favorites from the
launcher main screen were lost. This occurred on two separate computers
which are not able to run the new interface. When I selected the UNR 2d
option, only certain favorites were retained. For example, on one
computer I had 9 favorites before the upgrade and only 4 after the
upgrade.

[Bug 461115] Re: indicator session applet missing after upgrade to Karmic with UNR

2009-10-29 Thread sciencewhiz
I also had to change the theme to dust to get the color right. I'm going
to guess that is also related to the use of desktop-switcher and should
be mentioned in the description of how to fix it.

Using the instructions above, I could not get the indicator session
applet moved past the notification area, until I realized that I had to
right-click a little to the left of the audio icon to unlock the
notification area. That might also be worth mentioning for novice users.

[Bug 461115] [NEW] indicator session applet missing after upgrade to Karmin with UNR

2009-10-26 Thread sciencewhiz
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: netbook-launcher

After upgrading from Jaunty to Karmic with UNR, there wasn't a way to
shut down. Based on bugs 445599 and 456367, it looks like the indicator
session applet should have been added, but wasn't. If I switch desktop
modes to the classic interface, then the indicator session applet is
shown. I can also manually add the indicator session applet when in the
netbook interface.

I did not notice any problems during the upgrade. It did not warn of
anything not upgraded successfully, and I didn't see anything crash.

I've attached a screenshot that shows the launcher without the indicator
session applet.
