Re: [Ubuntu-be] volunteers needed - temporary call center next sunday

2008-04-18 Thread Wouter Horré
Hi!

Same here. No need for calling me.

One request: can my emailadres for the map be changed to the one i
sent this mail with? (i.e. replace wouter-ubuntu with wouter+ubuntu)

regards
Wouter

I'd also prefer not to be called, as I only recently put myself on that map.

The same for me.

Can this be an official opt-out thread so people don't need to call us?

If you got a little launchpad-karma, you can get up to ten cd's...

Canonical has been dealing out free cd's for a long time, which is fine, but
costly.
I can understand they have to restrict this.

Myself, when handing out cd's, I mostly just burn them myself. I have enough
spare jewel cases.
Of course, I don't just hand out kilo's of cd's. Only specific, interested
people get one.

As a company, I add a sticker on the jewel case, which makes some additional
marketing for me.
This cost of burning cd's is minimal for me, and I'm happy to "give back" that
way.

Mvg

Frederik

[Ubuntu-be] volunteers needed - temporary call center next sunday

2008-04-17 Thread Mark Van den Borre
Hi all,

I need your help. As discussed at the january meeting, we want to
contact all people on the support points map http://map.ubuntu-be.org.
This would serve multiple purposes:
* check if people are still willing to serve as a support point, and
the validity of their data
* make people aware of the upcoming release
* make people aware of the upcoming release party

We would like to do this on Sunday between 14 and 20h, by phone. We
are three already, François Cauwe, Stephan Van Ingen and me, to
volunteer, but we need more people to help us out. Ten people, each
making about 30 phone calls, would be perfect. Please realise that you
would have to use your own phone and not get refunded, or only a very
limited amount!

Hoping for volunteers...

Sincerely,

Mark

P.S. Yes, I am aware of privacy implications and interruption of
people's quiet Sunday afternoons. Yes, this will be dealt with in the
most respectful way humanly possible.
