Olá Rafael, Provável que ao atualizar o Ubuntu, o mesmo deve ter instalado o driver da placa de vídeo e ativado os efeitos 3D. Dependendo do hardware, estes efeitos podem deixar sua maquina lenta. Dê um 'ps -aux' ou 'top' e tente averiguar quem é o demonio que tá arrastando a performance. No Ubuntu tem um indexador de arquivos que seria melhor voce desativar. Tambem desative as atualizacoes automáticas. Alias, entre em Preferencias-Sessões e veja o que dá para eliminar alí. O indexador voce pode desabilitar em Preferencias-Indexação. Execute-o quando seu sistema estiver lento, veja %CPU de cada aplicativo, o que estiver usando mais %CPU é provavelmente quem tá lhe roubando mais performance. Talvez o 'top' seja melhor para voce. Deixe ele rodando no terminal e quando o sistema ficar lento dê uma observada para ver quem está execução naquele instante com maior %CPU. Rafael, No desktop, vá ao menu superior e clique em System Preferences Apparence, ao abrir a janela, clique na aba Visual Effects e selecione a opção None, em seguida clique em Close. [Ubuntu-BR] Wi-Fi Solo - Asus
Bom Dia colegas, Sou novo aqui na lista e espero que alguém possa me ajudar. Comprei a pouco tempo uma MoBo Asus p5K Deluxe Wi-Fi mas não estou conseguindo ativar a função de criar uma rede Wifi pela própria placa pelo Ubuntu. Fiz um teste no Windows e funciona normalmente mas o Cd da Asus não vem com pacotes para Linux somente com alguns drivers que aparentemente servem apenas para habilitar a recepção Wireless e não a transmissão. Alguém saberia como fazer para acionar este recurso? Ola Finalmente consegui acessar a internet via Ubuntu 7.10. Depois de ler montes de tutoriais e de não conseguir completar as respectivass configurações, ora por não ter o KPPP ora por não conseguir alterar o PAP Secrets ou Chat Secrets ouobservei em dois dos tutoriais lidos que aconselhavam o uso do airprime no lugar do usbserial que a bendita placa já constava configurada nas entranhas do sistema. Reinstalei o Ubuntu para apagar todas as bobagens que eu tivesse feito e fiz o seguinte: Rede - conexão por modem - propriedades - habilitar conexão - inserí o nº a ser discado (no meu caso #777) - nome de usuário: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - senha: vivo porta do modem: /dev/ttyUSB0 e marquei as tres ultimas opções da configuração; Dei OK, marquei a opção conexão via modem. fechei a janela acionei o navegador e pronto, estava navegando; Não carreguei ou fiz qualquer outra coisa Se por acaso a conexão cai ela volta por sí mesma o que na minha região é mais ou menos constante. O único problema é ter de desabilitar a conexão ao desligar o sistema e refazer essa configuração toda vez que iniciar, caso contrário não conecta É isso.
