Eu ja precisei mudar a resolução pra 800x600 pra depois reiniciar o X e ai sim funcionar. Isso na 7.10, ou algo assim. Apertando o Fn+F3, que no meu note é a tecla que alterna pra o vídeo secundário, funciona perfeitamente. Eu e provavelmente muita gente aqui usa. o que pode haver é incompatibilidade com certas placas, por falta de drivers. Quem deveria ser responsável por desenvolver drivers são os fabricantes de hardware, mas infelizmente alguns não desenvolvem drivers para outros sistemas operacionais além de Windows, e aí o suporte fica por conta da comunidade mesmo. Rafael, Apesar de meu notebook ser da Dell a configuração da placa é bem semelhante, porém, no meu a saída s-vídeo funciona normalmente. Ele não joga nenhum vídeo na Tela? Apesar de minha placa ser intel, ainda não testei esta funcionalidade, mas conheço pelo menos 2 pacotes que podem ajudá-los: - i855-crt - i810switch Ambos disponíveis via repositório, e são chamados via linha de comando.
