[Bug 19743] Re: Hoary: Mouse scroll wheel changes the screen unexpectedly
I think this attitude shows where Gnome is heading. It's going to become more and more like Windows, with no way out. I mean really.. how hard would it have been to allow me to choose the old behavior. Isn't Linux about choice? Or is Gnome anti-choice? I guess it is.. all sorts of stuff changes with each release with no way to change it back. Almost makes me want to fork it. Unfortunately, I have not spent the time to learn GTK well enough to do it. BTW, get a decent file browser.. let me type in a filename for crying out loud. Re: [Bug 64315] Re: Shared calender items disapear
Hi What happens is, when you use a network callender ( exchange in our case ), you can see your own callender. Then when you go to file you can 'subscribe' to another callender. When you use this callender you must mark it to be used in the callender screen, which is a mission because it does not always want to be enabled. Lets say that you got to this callender and you can see the contents and want to create a appointment on the other callender, it gets created successfully but it will always be marked to private. Since this is not your callender and you are not the owner you cannot see the contents untill the owner sets it as non-private etc. On Saturday 07 October 2006 23:47, Sebastien Bacher wrote: is the folder a local one, a network one, what protocol does it use? Although I can't replicate the error, I'll confirm this based on the valgrind and pass to Matthias. I've seen the same error in libvclplug_gen680li.so with another recent bug. This might be related to the other one where it appears that there is a linkage error. Matthias will need to double-check the build and recompile. At that point you (jbj) will need to retest. I'll let him make the call on the relatedness. [Bug 65249] keyboard strokes registered repeatedly or not registered at all
Public bug reported: Hello, This bug is posted as a dapper bug and is reported to have been fixed. However I have made a fresh install of Edgy Beta 1 on an Acer Aspire 3620 and the bug is there. I have tried to do all of the proposed from the comments of bug #39315, but to no avail. Without any systematic behaviour, totally on random time, my laptop keyboard starts to behave oddly. The keypresses never get registered by the system or some key is registered as continuously pressed and starts without control to repeat itself like crazy. Like the key is stuck, and it can't be stopped by pressing it. I have noticed that the continuous press or the lack or response from the keys can be ignored somehow if i move the cursor through the touchpad of the laptop. While I use the touchpad with one hand I can use the keyboard normally with the other. This behaviour of the keyboard will somehow stop after a few minutes (not a specific time interval, everytime it's different) and then I can use it normally again. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: Hello, - This bug is posted as a dapper bug and is reported to have been fixed.
