Hmm, it seems properly escaped: msgstr "Pääset käsiksi pääikkunaan \"shell\"-muuttujan kautta :" I guess Python still doesn't like it, then. [Bug 107404] Workstation lockup using rdp/vnc client
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-rdp RDP/VNC appear to function normally and will show no signs of any problem during shors sessions. However if the session is open for more that 10 minutes or so then ubuntu will not respond to any input. The mouse pointer can be moved over the screen within the client and the desktop but no input from the mouse buttons or the keyboard will have any response. [Bug 107401] ICH7 drvers break on updates
Public bug reported: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02) works before updates, installed from cd (7.04 Feisty) but breaks after initial batch of updates are run. It remains broken on both kernels after patching. I have switched between alsa and oss after the update to try to find if settings for either produce any sound whatsoever, but have only negative results to report. I have tried all volume settings in the gui GNOME ALSA Mixer and the cli alsamixer. These results are not definite, nor is the forum thread complete, but I hope to give at least some specific information to help narrow down the cause of the problem. [Bug 16414] Re: All themes fail to indicate mousedown on scrollbar thumbs and sliders
No, a mouseover effect is pretty useless for telling whether I'm clicking on a control, because it has so many false positives -- when the cursor is passing over the control on the way to something else. It's quite backward for a control to give me feedback when I'm not touching it (mouseover), but not to give me feedback when I am touching it (mousedown). ** Changed in: gnome-themes (Ubuntu) Status: Needs Info => Confirmed -- All themes fail to indicate mousedown on scrollbar thumbs and sliders https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/16414 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 107391] scim-anthy does not work and make any application which uses it hang
Public bug reported: I've just upgraded a machine from edgy to feisty, and I have problems with the input system, which worked perfectly before. My system is the following: - I am using scim as the input system - GTK_IM_MODULE is set to scim - XMODIFIERS set to @im=scim - scim -d is launched by the session manager. The problem is that whenever I try to input Japanese using scim-anty, all GUI hangs when I want to convert from kana to Kanji. For example, let's say I want to input 日本: after inputing にほん, pressing the space to convert to 日本 make the application unresponsive. In some cases, the GUI comes back after some time, but it often crashes other applications (the gnome terminal is one such example). I could reproduce this behaviour on my laptop, which also run on feisty. ** Affects: scim-anthy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- scim-anthy does not work and make any application which uses it hang https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107391 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1225] Re: Glom: missing dependency - PostgreSQL
I was going to add a bugreport just now about being forced to install postgresql-8.2 to use glom when i've seen this. Am I wrong or the glom description sais it's a "database designer and user interface"? There isn't a word talking about a full featured database server. The description even sais that, to use the self-hosting feature, "please install postgresql-8.2 locally also". You have two options: 1.- Modify the description to state that glom installation features the full postgresql server (and I look for a different client to use with my network server because I'm using glom now for a tpv alike environment and don't want a server on each thin client that hardly can run the client). 2.- Modify the package dependencies to not install postgresql (that seems to be the opposed of what everybody want so I doubt that you are going to do this). -- Glom: missing dependency - PostgreSQL https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1225 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 72468] Re: Trash looks empty, isn't
Using Feisty RC 20070415 here, with Beryl. I dont know if this happened when I changed window managers from Beryl to metacity and vice versa, but Im looking now at an empty recycle bin in the right corner of my screen that contains 12 files that were previously in my Desktop before I deleted them. BTW, when I hover the mouse pointer over the trash bin, a popup message reads "No items in Trash". When I right click it, the option to empty the recycle bin greyed out too.
