Thanks for reporting. However, openoffice.org2-amd64 is a package created specificly for amd64 architecture, and no longer exists in the most recent releases (doesn't exists in 7.04 feisty, for example). Also, there was never a 2.2 version of openoffice.org2-amd64. Which architecture are you using, i386 or amd64? Which release of Ubuntu are you using, 7.04? [Bug 120159] matplotlib svg displays incorrectly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: inkscape Ok, I've a very strange Inkscape behaviour (newest build for dapper Ubuntu 6.06), so I'm going to describe it in some detail: I've created a graph in python using matplotlib and saved it as an svg. However, when I open it in inkscape only the axes of the graph are displayed and not the data. Both the axes and the data points should be black. However, when I ungroup everything, I can see the bounding boxes of the data points, but I can't see the ellipses that make up of the data points (it's as if they have no fill). I can select one, try to fill it, shift it to the front, make sure the opacity is set, but it remains stubbornly invisible. If I select one it says e.g. Ellipse 26 on the status bar, but it has no visible nodes when I try to edit it with the node tool. Now here's the weird part: If I open the same file with the windows version of Inkscape, everything is visible as it should be. Also if I export the file to EPS (using Ubuntu inkscape) the graph data points become visible again. ** Affects: inkscape (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- matplotlib svg displays incorrectly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120159 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 119944] Re: [Gutsy] Tribe 1 installer gives blank video during boot
Hi Matt, Thanks for including all the xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log files! Those are helpful for ruling out several possibilities. I notice in your xorg.conf that the monitor is listed as a generic. One thing you could try is to manually specify the hsync and vrefresh rates specific to your monitor in there. In theory, xorg should be able to autodetect those, but sometimes it can't. You can do this by changing your monitor section to look like this: Section Monitor Identifier Default Option DPMS HorizSync 28-80 VertRefresh 48-75 EndSection But change the numbers to match the frequencies for your monitor. You can find these rates from your monitor manual (usually). If you don't have the manual handy, you can often find it on the manufacturer's website. Based on your description of the problem (everything working ok seemingly, but the monitor blanking out) it sounds like a monitor issue. Since monitor detection is not 100%, and issues are fairly common, that's what makes me think the refresh rates may be mis-detected. Apologies if you've already checked this. -- [Gutsy] Tribe 1 installer gives blank video during boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119944 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
