[Bug 186172] [NEW] konsole-kde4 goes black and eats my cursor
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: konsole-kde4 I start up konsole-kde4 and all is well - everything works as expected. However, after writing a command or two, sometimes the window goes completely black and my mouse-cursor disappears. It doesn't seem like the sudden change of window-content is connected to commands I type (like cd and ls - nothing strange). I can still move the window around and resize the window. The mouse- cursor still works correctly everywhere except when moving it over that window. I have turned off the scrollbar, tab-bar and menubar in the options, and run konsole-kde4 as full screen (it covers the entire virtual desktop). [Bug 98815] Re: keep (still) does a backup every hour
No, the problem isn't completly solved, at least not for me. I had 'Keep' already installed under feisty and it run every hour and after login. A week ago I upgraded to gutsy, with the hope, that this problem might be fixed. But still 'Keep' shows the same erroneous behaviour. P.S.: I just had a look at the backup log, which dates back to 2007-02-27 (that was edgy time, right?). So obviously I originally installed the package under edgy. P.P.S.: I'm not sure, wether I should change the bug status? -- keep (still) does a backup every hour https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/98815 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 101943] Re: braid screensaver crashes system with compiz activated
To clarify what I mean by the "pink and bluish scribbles" here is a screen shot -- yes it just happened again. The interesting thing is that when I choose to capture the screen shot from the movie player menu the image comes out okay :? I think it happens when I change from desktop without effects to desktop with effects. It was working fine a little while ago. Here are the comments about people who had the same problem with the flickering black screen. http://ohioloco.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=612144 Let me point out I tried some of those solutions and it didn't work for me. (When I have the desktop effects on) I am trying the desktop effects without the window wobbling to see if that's the problem. I'll post the results later. I think nVidia is part of the problem but I am also inclined to believe that the Desktop effects need some serious work done to them. It is horrible to get people all excited about this candy and then give them all kinds of issues :-D So far it's like having a relationship with a Playboy model. ** Attachment added: "screenshot.jpg" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11577400/screenshot.jpg -- braid screensaver crashes system with compiz activated https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/101943 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 177576] Re: rt2x00 badly broken in hardy

I now use ndiswrapper > (had troubles but latest version works) but i will revert > to rt2500 to report information about rt2500 in Hardy Exact;y the same hit me too with Hardy Alpha 3 (i386-desktop). I have only 30kB-60kB rate while downloading the updates (236MB takes a long time, mind you) - but in Feisty/Gutsy the same PCI card using rt2500pci module gives me a full speed of 240kB-250kB download rate. My mainboard is ASUS A8V Deluxe, and the hardware: # lspci -v 00:0e.0 Network controller: RaLink RT2500 802.11g Cardbus/mini-PCI (rev 01) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. WL-130g Flags: bus master, slow devsel, latency 64, IRQ 21 Memory at fbb0 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K] Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2 PS. I'm writing this comment while the updates are downloading in the chroot'ed Hardy environment, started from inside otherwise perfectly working Gutsy installation. :-) -- rt2x00 badly broken in hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/177576 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
