[Bug 197462] Re: firefox crash with user-agent switcher and www.tg4.ie
Since that extension is not provided as part of the Ubuntu distribution, you would most likely be better off reporting this to the developer of the plugin. Have you tried another windows user agent? There must a few of them in the list. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- firefox crash with user-agent switcher and www.tg4.ie https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197462 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 198111] Re: Evolution and Google calendar
I faced something similar. Since its really my first time, I filed a new bug report (216123) which has aptly been marked as duplicate of this one. However, in my situation, it does remember the username. And its not able to show any events at all. Basically the application just crashes. Checking gconf-editor its visible that it has tried to store the same info mentioned earlier. @Michael : The workaround you suggest was working in previous version as well, I have to say, I personally was looking forward to have the ability to publish from evolution to google as a key thing (like the calendar plugin for thunderbird provides). Thats been one big reason for me to wait for the new version of Evolution. Could one of you post the corresponding bug number or so that has been filed with evolution team (gnome bugzilla) ? I'm rather new so I dont really know how it works. -- Evolution and Google calendar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198111 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 132065] Re: screen stops refreshing after rotate when running compiz fusion
I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 beta on a Fujitsu LifeBook T4215 with and Intel 945GM. I did some unkosher testing and was able to confirm that this is not a compiz bug: using the screenshot tool (see: Applications -> Accessories -> Take Screenshot) on a 10-second delay along with a terminal window executing the command xrandr -o right && sleep 20 && xrandr -o normal yields a beautiful image (see attachment) of compiz running in 768x1024. So Tom's compiz fix is cool (though I haven't had the chance to recompile compiz to test it myself), but I have to agree that the solution to this problem will ultimately lie in mesa or the intel driver. If anyone's had the same problem with an ATI or nVidia card, I think that would close the book on where the fix needs to be done. ** Attachment added: "Compiz screenshot (taken blind with redraw bug)" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13404584/Screenshot.png -- screen stops refreshing after rotate when running compiz fusion https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/132065 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 216648] [NEW] openoffice misaligned tabstop in bullets and numberings
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org-writer Description:Ubuntu hardy (development branch) Release:8.04 openoffice.org-writer: 1:2.4.0-3ubuntu2 I expected that tab stops used in normal paragraphs and paragraphs with bullets and numberings should be aligned the same way. Just like it was in openoffice.org 2.3. Instead, on 2.4, a tab stop used in a paragraph with bullets and numbers is aligned off to the right by how much the number indents the paragraph. Here's a quick example on how to reproduce it: 1. Create new document 2. Press F12 to enable numbering 3. Type some letters then press tab 4. Add a tab stop at about the 4th inch mark 5. type some letters Notice that the tab alignment in the page is not aligned with the tab stop. ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- openoffice misaligned tabstop in bullets and numberings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216648 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 216641] [NEW] Every window opens at +0,+0
Public bug reported: Ubuntu Hardy (Development Branch) 8.04 I installed it fresh on a new laptop and this error only showed up after the very last string of updates (today is 13 April, I think it was yesterday or 2 days ago) I can't nail down just whats causing it but it could be but here are the things that could be involved: compiz, metacity, nautilus, or just the gnome panel itself. Whenever I open any window, the top-left corner spawns at 0,0 coordinates. This hides the top window border under the gnome panel which prevents me from dragging it to a more usable space. I have to use keyboard shortcuts to move it. What usually happens, is that windows either: spawn at the location they were last, or they spawn at 0,+25 (or however big the top gnome panel is) putting them just touching the panel. So either: -the gnome panel isn't communicating it's size to something or -something isn't remembering the last location of the window ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Sun Apr 13 01:06:42 2008 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: nautilus 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu3 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus Uname: Linux 2.6.24-15-generic i686 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- Every window opens at +0,+0 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216641 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 216642] [NEW] "About this document" section could be shared across the ubuntu-docs templates
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs The translation templates for ubuntu-docs: https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/ubuntu- docs/ currently require translating many identical strings, related to "About this document" section. [Bug 57899] Re: usb-storage devices break the install
I also ran into this issue with 8.04 Beta. Under 7.10 my hard disk is /dev/sda (it is a PATA drive on a SIS 5513 controller on the m/b). Re: [Bug 150414] Re: package linux-image-rt 2.6.22.13.19 failed to install/upgrade: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Everything installs fine. Only problem is Nvidia will not support thr rt kernel or the xen kernel with their "binary" drivers. So can't test any further. But no problem installing.
