Then I tried to install the drivers of an ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 on both kernels 2.6.24-16 and 2.6.24-17 but the installation fails because package xorg-driver-fglrx-dev-envy couldn't be installed. It says it creates conflicts with xorg-driver- fglrx which isn't even installed! This may depend on the version of wordpress, I think wordpress.com has the recent version 2.5 which includes a new fancy text editor. I don't know if the problem is in wordpress of epiphany. I did try with firefox 3 and found that undo works, but redo does not work. I did not try with firefox 2. Public bug reported: I'm running Hardy Herron 32-bit Ubuntu, dual-booting on a Sony Vaio VGN-C25 with Vista. None of the problems are present in Vista. Neither the LiveCD or Hardy partition boots without manually adding 'acpi=off' or 'acpi=ht'. Adding 'pci=nopci' does not allow the laptop to boot. I have no /proc/acpi directory. When running Ubuntu, playing any audio repeats the first half-second continuously until logout. This also applies to the logon 'drums' at the gdm. All battery applets give zero battery power remaining, though the battery works. I have no power management access. Laptop does not wake up from hibernation. Power button does not work. 'Shut down' from within Gnome or gdm does not power off laptop.
