[Bug 237179] [NEW] when disconnecting power, laptop suspends
Public bug reported: Since the update to some package or another on 3 June or 2 June, my laptop has taken to suspending whenever the power is disconnected. I'm running 8.04 (fresh install on new HD) after having the same problem with 7.10 (however, recovery from the suspend always took a lot longer then it does now). When it goes to suspend, it goes to a green screen with a flashing _ cursor in the top right. Excuse me for the long time to reply, I'm in exams period. I have the same problem with the full screen mode of OpenOffice.org Presentaciones (Impress), so I think it can be a problem of the compiz. Without using compiz efects it doesn't work the same way, by pressing ALT-TAB with compiz the windows apears on top with every press. With out compiz you must select the new windows and then change to the top of the desktop. (Creo que me haré entender mejor en español.
