Well, that certainly fixed the problem. As far as I know, I never unchecked that box. It seems to me that it should be checked in the default installation. Works perfect in windows, however in ubuntu it detects the MAC address of the repeater and the main router and I can not get an internet connection... Tried taking out the MAC address of the main router in the network settings of the SSID name and it works briefly until it detects/associates the router with the network again. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: udev It appears that when querying the environment of a disk/partition device node in Intrepid, the DEVTYPE variable doesn't appear to be set, unlike hardy, where the DEVTYPE variable is set depending on whether the device node represents a partition, or a disk. Further examination shows that the DEVTYPE variable for disk/partition should be set in /etc/udev/rules.d/60-persistent-storage.rules. The same rule is in both hardy and intrepid, and both appear to have the same contents. Here is the output firstly from a hardy system, for a disk node, followed by the output for a disk node on an intrepid install, different machine. Yes, Marc - I get the same issue. aMSN opens the hotmail login dialog instead of going through.
