[Bug 200379] Re: [KDE4] hardy, khtml/kdecore, konqueror crashed during regular use

2008-08-16 Thread Mikael Gerdin
I've experienced crashes on this assertion several times with Konqueror 4.1 in
Hardy using the kubuntu-members-kde4 ppa. It happens irregularly when i close
Konqueror (which is not so strange as it's KHTMLFactory's destructor that calls
KHTMLGlobal::finalCheck() which contains the assertion.)
Right now I can't reproduce it (obviously ;P) but I know that it still happens
with 4.1.

Re: [Bug 252026] Re: Hardy package for tovid doesn't makemenu, makexml etc. into user's path

2008-08-16 Thread Andy
I hate to admit this, but I just re ran the program the same as I did
before and it seems to have worked. As far as I am aware I have not done
anything to the package manager that concerns this program, however it
does work now.

Thanks

As for tovidgui, it shouldn't fail - it was patched to find the
utilities where they are. If it does fail (and if you're sure that both
tovidgui and the utilities are from the Hardy package), then it _is_ a
bug - but I can't reproduce it.

[Bug 247771] Re: Dell Inspiron 8000 Hardware graphics adapter support ATI Mobility M4 Display corruption rendering fault-Split display

2008-08-16 Thread darrylhadfield
I've got an identical machine that I wanted to load Ubuntu onto - and
had the same issue.

Specifically, during install the screen goes to full-screen mode,
800x600, and the screen 'folds' over itself so to speak - and the
installation boxes do not fully view.

I downloaded the 8.10 live CD, and it did the same thing.

I then proceeded to install in safe-graphics mode and it displays as
desired, but in 800x600 mode but not using the entire screen...

Thought you might like to know. I've done a hardware test and will
upload the results shortly.

[Bug 66760] Re: palette indexes in eft-theme.c should not be prefixed with 0x

2008-08-16 Thread red_team316
Make these changes below to your branch in the 3 places they apply:

/* Palette indexes */
.background = 0,
.progressbar_background = 7,
.progressbar_foreground = 100,
.text_background= 21,
.text_foreground= 49,
.text_success   = 49,
.text_failure   = 44,

With these values, you should not experience the colors randomly changing. If
you do for some reason, then let me know.
I personally think that this is the best fix possible.

red_team316 : Yes I can update the branch, I thought that you said that
your previous fix was still not correct and that we should keep
hexadecimal values. Do you want me to push your eft-theme.c

you think that this is a acceptable fix, then I'll go for it, or you can
also publish your own branch. I just don't have necessary skill to know
if this fix is really acceptable. Also, note that the problem with lines
of different colors also appears with your fix (might be another bug, as

Sebastien I am currently unable to turf my testing install due to other
tests I am executing however two other users with clean installs have
confirmed this bug. On the Ubuntu forum you can see two screenshots from
other testers confirming this problem does exist in the default install.

Check this link out... Not only does the eye candy not match the advanced
features of compiz fusion.;.. but also there are many holes in the operating
systems security... http://cryptogon.com/?p=3385 <<< this link is a nice
example. I started ubuntu because i though Vista was junk... but the initial
change happened when i saw my friend talking about it... I thnk what we need
to do is advertise our support and make ubuntu known!

[Bug 246269] Re: Switched from vesafb to uvesafb, but uvesafb can't work without v86d

2008-08-16 Thread nullack
reh4c the bug system is not for user support. You have various support
avenues, such as IRC, community documentation or the Ubuntu forums.
Intrepid has not been released to production and given it's Alpha status
bugs are to be expected.

While this error prevents high resolution modes in virtual consoles I
find that the system will still progress to GDM and allow gnome sessions
as expected.

[Bug 66760] Re: palette indexes in eft-theme.c should not be prefixed with 0x

2008-08-16 Thread red_team316
Well, looking at the related branches at the top of the page, it appears that
it is your branch. I cannot change it but it would appear that you can. Are you
saying it won't let you change your own branch? I would think all you would
need to do is make the fix on your computer and then do a bzr commit to update
it(I'm more familiar with svn than bzr but if I remember correctly, it's commit
command is almost identical)
Branch page:
Update this branch: You cannot upload to this branch. Only Saïvann
Carignan can upload to this branch.

I understand that someone else will have to actually merge it with the
main usplash code. I was thinking you could update your branch to rev
228 to the corrected palette colors, and I would think that then the
status should be "Best Fix Available" as the solution is pretty obvious
and the actual person merging can read our proofs posted above.

As far as this page, once your branch is updated, wouldn't the status
need to be changed to "Fix commited"?

[Bug 258705] [NEW] wrong x,y in tooltip for sorted by x scatter plot

2008-08-16 Thread Kevet Duncombe
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

The attached file demonstrates the problem. It's an X,Y scatter plot
with "Sort by X values" checked. The plot is correct, but if you double
click the chart, then hover over a data point a tool tip pops up showing
an X,Y value different from the coordinates of the data point. I believe
it's using the data point number from the sorted list to index into the
original unsorted data.

[Bug 205811] Re: Should depend on rather than recommend libhtml-scrubber-perl

2008-08-16 Thread harishcm
Any plans to do an update of the package in the Hardy repos? Sorry I'm
new, but it does not seem to solve the problem in the Hardy repos.

[Bug 249231] Re: Please apply showimg-0.9.5-gcc43.patch from Fedora

2008-08-16 Thread Stefan Lesicnik
As I am unable to merge showimg from Debian at this time due to KDE3.5
libs not being available in Intrepid
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/showimg/+bug/258593). I am
marking this bug as confirmed and assigning myself to upload the patch
into the current version of showimg.

[Bug 258593] Re: Please merge showimg 0.9.5-1.3 (universe) from Debian (unstable)

2008-08-16 Thread Stefan Lesicnik
I have contacted the upstream author about this package and am waiting a
reply. For anyone interested in taking a look - attached is my current
debdiff.

The problem lies in the building of the package. When trying to build
with libkonq5-dev, kdelibs5-dev is required. The package is also
dependant on libkexif1-dev which is not kdelibs5-dev compatible as of
this time. The package builds in Debian Sid and Sid still has KDE 3.5.
