[Bug 228265] Re: [needs-packaging] FatRat download manager
I've contacted the author about: 1) The bugzilla is not working: http://fatrat.dolezel.info/bugs/ Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /bugs/ on this server. Apache Server at fatrat.dolezel.info Port 80 2) Your links should be more uwatch-friendlier. uwatch is a debian application that helps track down new upstream releases. Example: http://www.dolezel.info/download/download.php?project=fatrat&version=1.1 ...should be something like: http://www.dolezel.info/download/download.php?file=fatrat-1.1.tar.gz Or a folder with a direct link. Or even you could upload/host it on sourceforge, google code or berlios. 3) There is no COPYING file in the main source directory. For packagers, to be able to package it properly, the upstream author should include a COPYING in the root dir of the source. There’s a GPL-2 license in the subdirectory data/, unfortunately that will not permit us to distribute the other directories. -- [needs-packaging] FatRat download manager https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228265 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have very similar problem. Network manager restarts connection(during few weeks, it happened always near 02:00 AM, so it looked like it's forced by cron). [Bug 329968] [NEW] OpenMedSpel Extension for OpenOffice.org 3.0 disables normal dictionary
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org I am attempting to install the OpenMedSpel plugin (an extension that adds a medical terms dictionary to OO.o 3.0) from http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/OMS . Installing the extension disables the normal English dictionary on OO.o 3.0 on Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit from https://launchpad.net/~openoffice-pkgs/+archive/ppa . Once the package is installed and OO.o is restarted, all normal English words are marked as misspelled. Only medical jargon like "reticulocyte" is considered spelled correctly. Uninstalling the plugin fixes the problem. I've contacted the plugin author, and he told me that this is not the case in WinXP. I am not able to check in Jaunty since my VirtualBox network connection is not working (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/326003) Is there any additional info you might need or any suggestions you can recommend? ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- OpenMedSpel Extension for OpenOffice.org 3.0 disables normal dictionary https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/329968 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: I have 8.04 updated today 2/15/2009. I get the normal brown background, then a large light gray box in the upper lefthand corner of the screen. The cursor, when moved into the box, turns into a 'text selection' cursor, as though it were a terminal or something. The cursor in the rest of the screen is an ordinary arrow. Gnome 'Failsafe' also didn't exactly work. My solution was to delete a bunch of ~/.gnome* files and reboot a few times and log in failsafe mode... [Bug 178953] Re: compiz doesn't start if metacity compositor is enabled
Bobby, to force compiz to run, you should disable the blacklist. It works on my latop, which is also Intel GM965. However, some effects (blur, rain...) don't work, and sometimes your framerates drops really low. Overall its ok though. (I simply commented the blackline in the compiz script, all the way back during gutsy) Also, the intel driver *should* be open-source and free as in freedom AFAIK. -- compiz doesn't start if metacity compositor is enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/178953 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi Max, Care to do a few tests first? I notice you have an Nvidia graphics card, so this may be a duplicate of bug 324895. First can you test the latest pre-release of the upcoming Jaunty 9.04 release (currently Alpha 4) - http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/ . You should be able to test suspend via a LiveCD. Does the issue remain? If so, can you make sure to test with the open nv driver and see if you can reproduce the stack trace in bug 324895? If you can, we should mark this as a duplicate of that bug. If the stacktrace is different, we'll still want to reassign this to the proper package. Please let us know your results. Then Lucian came up with another package called myspell-ro but with another versioning scheme. So everyone is free to choose a versioning scheme of his own will, and support the consequences of his choice. This is my last take ono the subject ( I have rehashed it every time it came up in the past two years) , look at my proposal above to move forward. -- Romanian spell-check dictionary uses incorect diacritics https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/214193 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 298623] Re: No WLAN with RaLink after resume from standby or hibernation
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 294058 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294058 It seems there are a few reports about issues with the rt61pci driver after a suspend/resume cycle. I'm going to mark this as a duplicate of bug 294058 so that the developers only have a single bug to track. Please continue to track this issue at that report.
