[Bug 338982] Re: evolution crashed with SIGSEGV during MAPI authentication
I've compiled the last libmapi 0.8.2 (not 0.8-2 jaunty package) and the bug is still present in evolution. jaunty beta latest packages evolution, evolution-mapi... By opening the mapi database created by evolution before crash with openchange client, i can fetch contacts for example. Hi John, I would love to upgrade to Hardy or Intrepid but as my system is an old Pentium 4 with Intel D845 board which I can't found any support beside 6.10 which have everything the board need to make it work. Moreover I am just a beginner, so would found a lot of diffculties installing Hardy or Intrepid unless you are able to assist if I have problems. [Bug 350593] Re: ext3 and ext4 : file system corrupted and system unbootable
Hi Jon, Thanks for your quick answer. The minor problems were bugs previously reported (application crashes, true or false, etc.). The problem is reproduced also with ext3. I have updated the description. No I have never had media issues with this laptop. I was running Ubuntu Studio 8.10 until yesterday and before Ubuntu 8.04. Yes, I installed from the Live CD, but I chose to install from the initial menu without actually booting the Live CD. Kind regards, Miro ** Summary changed: - ext4 : file system corrupted and system unbootable + ext3 and ext4 : file system corrupted and system unbootable ** Description changed: I have installed the first beta version of Ubuntu 9.04 codenamed Jaunty Jackalope (AMD64). First I tried ext4 with a customized partition scheme. When installing packages from Synaptic, the system starts to behave erratically. The last thing I have the time to read, before it is completely irresponsible, is read-only file system. I have to force power down. I cannot boot into Ubuntu anymore. Apparently the file system is no longer recognized. I reinstalled with the default parameters (using the entire HD), but again choosing ext4. Same results. Now even Grub refuses to load (Error 24). - I reinstalled with ext3. Only minor problems up to now. + I reinstalled with ext3. + + UPDATE: This morning when I switched on the system, it did not boot to + graphical mode. sorry mentioned wrong version of RT..again..: I also installed Jaunty beta on a single Intel processor machine with 700 Mbyte memory and the installation worked like a champ but... since I need the real time behaviour for studio work I had to modify the menu.lst so that I was able to boot from --linux-rt 2.6.28-3--. [Bug 350788] Re: Hibernate AND suspend/resume failure on Gateway M-6862 laptop (Non-free kernel module: fglrx, ATI R6xx graphics card)
Even after purging fglrx, hibernate still does not work. Current Behavior: the screen goes black, the backlight stays on, the system hangs (unresponsive capslock, not responsive to power button, reset by taking battery out). Previous behavior: stack trace displayed on screen [will attach photo], system also hung and could only be restarted by removing then reinserting the battery. The kernel bug I had alluded to earlier (in retrospect) does not seem to be related to fglrx. Even now, after purging the proprietary driver and rebooting, it is still there.
