[Bug 354455] [NEW] Visual Effects remove text from clickable buttons
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org I have an Nvidia graphics card, and the proprietary drivers for it, and I assume that it is causing the problem. I'm on Ubuntu 8.10 When I go to Appearence and change Visual Effects from off to Normal or Extra, when I open an Open Office program, the words are missing from the clickable buttons, like the menu tabs at the top (File, Edit, View etc.) They are there for a split second when the programs start, but then disappear, and if I hover the mouse over the button they reappear for another split second but then disappear again. [Bug 341605] Re: Wubi 9.04 uninstaller cannot delete the directory containing the uninstaller itself
Small regression, XP themes have been lost. The windows resource that declares that XP themes have to be used is associated to pylauncher, which in turns runs python.exe, but python.exe is a separate process without that decoration. Also might need to properly escape arguments. [Bug 322202] Re: Session lost on resume from sleep in Jaunty on Lenovo T500
I can confirm this bug on a intel 945GM. Problem is that EXA is unusable slow (tested with KDE4 desktop effects, anholt openarena demo), while UXA is fast but breaks suspend/resume. So there should be either a fix for EXA (making it faster) or a fix for UXA (fixing at least suspend/resume).
