[Bug 489578] [NEW] Impossible to use podcast feature of Rhytmnbox
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox If podcasts file(s) not yet downloaded appears in the podcasts list, and then I try to download them, just, exactly just at the end of their download, the corresponding podcast disappear immediately from the list (it is removed from the list). As it is impossible to play a podcast not yet downloaded, this involve that I can never listen to any podcast : Just at the moment they will be available, they disappear ! Very frustrating. Living overseas far from my originating country, I've been using podcasts a lot, now I can't. [Bug 362397] Re: VPN Not Connecting in Jaunty, but was in Intrepid
Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of this project. - This is a bug , not a papercut. For further information about papercuts criteria, please read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut. [Bug 462364] Re: safely remove drive causes segfault in libgobject and libXtst
Here's my 2 cents on this issue. I have a Sansa c250 mp3 player running Rockbox v 3.4. It has 2 Gb internal storage and a 4 Gb microsdhc card. The combination of Karmic stable and v3.4 of Rockbox is the first combo to recognize both (previously I had to eject the sd card and insert it into a separate reader). Nautilus shows as 'Rockbox Internal Storage: Sansa c250' and 'Rockbox SD Card Slot: 4.0 GB Filesystem', separate entries. It always crashed the desktop on right-click 'Safely Remove Drive' whether I had unmounted the drives or not. I logged on today to report this, and found this thread, so I enabled 'apport' as instructed to provide the requested crash data - and the desktop did NOT crash. First I unmounted both entries and 'safely removed', no problem. Then, I simply tried 'safely remove' while both were mounted - same result, no crash, both removed just fine. I'm disappointed I couldn't add to this bug report, but happy that my issue seems to have resolved itself - I just wish I knew HOW. -- safely remove drive causes segfault in libgobject and libXtst https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/462364 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 489588] [NEW] Resuming from an interrupted connction always fails and requires reboot.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager Description:Ubuntu 9.10 Release:9.10 network-manager: Installed: 0.8~a~git.20091013t193206.679d548-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 0.8~a~git.20091013t193206.679d548-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 0.8~a~git.20091013t193206.679d548-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status This issue was present in 8.04 and 8.10, I kept hoping it would be resolved. I have an excellent wifi-n connection until my wireless home phone rings and then the wifi goes down and the network manager starts showing the spin cycle. Normally any interruptions to the connection will reconnect, i.e. I turn the router off etc, but in this case, if the phone rings for more that a few seconds the wifi stops trying to reconnect apparently. I can understand it timing out, but what must be a bug is that manually clicking in NM on the visible SSID has no affect, it just tells me the network is disconnected and appears to make no attempt to reconnect. I then usually try pretending it is hidden connection and I try opening it, this does not work either. I have even tried deleting the connection and re entering it but still I cannot get wifi back. I normally just reboot the machine, I will do some tests now and attach the results, however this will take a while as I will have to reboot each time to post the results! ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Resuming from an interrupted connction always fails and requires reboot. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/489588 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 485798] Re: Dictionaries are NOT easy to install
Comment from upstream: Installing dictionaries is a distro-level issue. Different Linux distributions use different dictionary systems (aspell, myspell, hunspell, etc.) and different package management systems (apt, deb, Portage, etc.). It's unfortunate, but at present it's simply beyond the scope of Evolution to try and install additional software on your system. There's just too many variables. [Bug 363316] Re: Routine check of drives notification is not localized
Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of this project. - This is not a bug affecting a majority of user group. Hence not a papercut.
