Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution It could be that one of the suggested bug reports matches my situation, but I can't understand well enough what was written in the couple of possible candidates to know for sure. [Bug 64953] Re: Evolution resends old mail after power failure
I have the same problem. If I do not close evolution, but simply go directly to shutdown, than the next time I open up evolution it sents seemingly randomly emails from the same day. They some how fall back into the outbox and get resent and show up in sent items. When I look through my sent items, many emails get sent out several times, till I delete the stuck ones in the outbox manually or often after closing evolution and than waiting a few seconds before totally shutting down seems to empty the outbox. I clearly have no handle yet on this problem, People report me that I send many double emails, and indeed the sent items proofs this problem. It all started recently after upgrading from 9.04 to ubuntu 9.10 on Dell Mini 9, Many problems arose since. Double icons in gnome and gnome menu bar mixed up. Evolution 2.28.1 is my current version. I hope the next upgrade to 10.04 will free me from this problem as it only came up the last few months and is really annoying to think about closing evolution first before shutting down the computer. -- Evolution resends old mail after power failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/64953 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 566986] [NEW] New upstream release available
Public bug reported: Ubuntu (and Debian) currently package version 1.8.0 of cairomm. This version is heavily outdated. The latest stable release 1.8.4 was made in October 2009. Due to the revamped build system based on mm-common, the 1.8.4 release of cairomm fixes quite a number of problems related to packaging and system integration, including the bugs #452733 and #515638. Apart from that, the current libcairomm-1.0-dev development package in Lucid is completely unusable because it ships with an utterly broken cairommconfig.h file which redefines macros such as PACKAGE_NAME or VERSION. This, too, was fixed in cairomm 1.8.4. I get home 15 minutes later and open my laptop 15 minutes after that. No connecton. It still lists the AP from work. Nothing I do for over a minute with the main menu will show anything different. Eventually I disabled wireless, then reenabled it and after a few seconds it found the correct home AP and I was back online. [Bug 496093] Re: [lucid] rt2860 frequently fails to connect to mixed mode WPA/WPA2 secured wireless networks
I already published the backported patch, but the problem is that the patch is huge, and as the release will be out in a few days, besides being an LTS one, I don't think the patch will be incorporated. The good thing is that at the time they decide to update the kernel to 2.6.33 this fix will be included by default. -- [lucid] rt2860 frequently fails to connect to mixed mode WPA/WPA2 secured wireless networks https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496093 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
