[Bug 632197] [NEW] lm-sensors limits and calculations aren't retained after waking from sleep
Public bug reported: I'm running 10.04 x64, with btrfs / and ext2 /boot. All packages are current from Synaptic. I have a custom sensors.conf file in /etc/sensors.d, with set x_min and set x_max values that are read when init starts /etc/init.d/lm-sensors via sensors -s. The motherboard in question is an Asus M3N78-EM, with an Athlon X2 4850e, 4 GB of RAM, onboard GeForce 8300 IGP, and no add-on PCI cards. The custom sensors.d file is for the it8712-isa-0290 chip, from the it87 kernel module, and replicates the limits from the asus_atk0110 kernel module. (I use the it87 module because it has fan PWM control, and the asus_atk0110 doesn't.) To allow it87 to load, I've passed acpi_enforce_resources=lax on my kernel boot line. After a normal boot, running "sensors" from a shell window shows the limits in question, with the appropriate calculations for the +5V and +12V lines. The it87 module survives sleeping and waking, but running "sensors" from a shell window after waking shows the default limits and all calculations are gone. Running "sudo sensors -s" manually restores these. To prevent this behavior, I had to drop a script in /etc/pm/sleep.d to run "sensors -s" on thaw. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- lm-sensors limits and calculations aren't retained after waking from sleep https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/632197 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 528567] Re: Ubuntu One Music Store plugin
I like Thibault's suggestion of putting the plugin's main interface in a new tab. Perhaps the best interface solution would be a generic "Music Stores" tab on the panel that would have a list of (possibly) multiple different music stores. Individual music store plugins like this one could add an entry to this list, which would open a new tab with the music store interface. This would be consistent with the behavior of the other tabs, for example, selecting the "Playlists" tab shows a list of available playlists in the panel, and double clicking on one will open it in a new tab. -- Ubuntu One Music Store plugin https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/528567 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 632169] [NEW] [Realtek ALC662 rev1] Recording problem -- microphone no long works after some time

[Bug 522538] Re: gwibber-service crashed with error in connect()
Gwibber in Lucid is pretty much unusable due to this bug. A work around is to install the Gwibber packages from Maverick, which is working just fine here. The Maverick packages do not use desktop-couch. Keeping the Maverick packages up to date is an exercise for the reader as I don't think the stable 2.31 releases exist in a PPA. -- gwibber-service crashed with error in connect() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/522538 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 477430] Re: grub 2 error: out of disk. failed to boot default entries. press any key to continue...
More information about this bug. If I boot from the 10.04.01 LTS Live CD and "restart" the system 10.04.01 will boot from the hard drive, but it issues a message "error: out of disk." just before it continues the boot sequence. If I "cold boot" directly from the hard drive I get as far as the "error: out of disk." message and the boot sequence stops with the "grub rescue" message. Obviously there is no way I am going to boot the Live CD and do a "restart" every time I want to boot my system so I am staying on 8.04 LTS until I can get a clean boot from 10.04. I have attached the grub.cfg from the hard drive of my 10.04 install. The fact that it boot from a "restart" and the fact that I checked with a "sudo blkid" means that there is no problem with the UUID. ** Attachment added: "grub.cfg from offending system" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/477430/+attachment/1552538/+files/10.4.1%20grub.txt ** Changed in: grub2 (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released => New -- grub 2 error: out of disk. failed to boot default entries. press any key to continue... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/477430 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
